I have never eaten a bad thing from proof! They rotate their cake flavors monthly and I’m constantly sad to see their amazing flavors leave, but know it means something new and special is on the way. Some of the best cakes in LA and very reasonably priced if you’re looking to order a whole one for an event - often offering unique flavor combinations!

30 December 2025 🌟 The Morning Bun (seasonal flavor: Cardmom) was stellar — an airy, flaky, buttery croissant roll with a ribbon of lightly-sweetened cardamom spice! 🤌🏽😋 As delicious as the biscuit + chocolate chip cookie were, I made the "mistake" of eating the morning bun first, which basically "ruined" my taste buds for the rest. 🤣 My cousin tried the cookie + couldn't understand why I wasn't impressed. That's how good the bun was! Admittedly, when I went back for a nibble hours later, I can attest that the cookie was fantastic.

Absolutely solid bakery with some amazing pastries The croissant is a tad dry for me but still delicious, flaky, chewy, buttery, and great. The biscuit is fantastic. Not quite a “flaky” or layered biscuit but the doughy/bread like texture is wonderful and it’s full of flavor Someone in line recommended the chocolate chip cookie and although it wasn’t the best I’ve had, it was still a solid cookie

Every single sweet treat I get at Proof Bakery has always been perfection. I’ve yet to try something I haven’t liked. I always get a hojicha latte & they always make them perfectly as well. This time I got a gateau. The whipped cream was great & the fruits were so perfectly sweet. The sponge wasn’t dry & the top had a delightful crisp to it. As for the fruit tart, hands down BEST fruit tart I’ve ever had in my whole life. I loved that the fruits weren’t slathered with syrup like most bakeries do. They were perfectly sweet as well. The cream also had lemon in it & that was my fav part cuz I love anything lemon. Never had a fruit tart like this before! My only feedback is they need to figure out their line situation, cuz it’s always a hot mess when it gets crowded & that’s honestly the part that makes me not want to go sometimes. The line blocks & crowds the sidewalk, making it difficult for people to walk through. They need to figure out a better system for the line, cuz it honestly makes the experience of going there not the greatest sometimes. I’m so happy I finally got to try the famous sea salt chocolate chip cookie from Proof!! 🍪 It was absolutely deeeeelicious and not too sweet. I didn’t like the hojicha strawberry combo for the mochi cake — strawberry tasted strange, so next time would try a different dessert. Super looking forward to trying the croissant for breakfast!!
