Buon Appetito is a charming Italian restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and delicious food. The pasta was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous. I had the baked goat cheese appetizer and the tortelloni ai cinque formaggi. The complimentary bread with marinara was nice, but the sauce was spicy which I couldn't eat. The goat cheese was ok but it was the smallest thing on the plate. The pasta and the sauce were good but the ham wasn't at all.

I visited San Diego from Washington DC. This place had been recommended to me by a friend who’d previously visited this restaurant, and I admit I was not disappointed. Nice tasty food, friendly staff. I’d just say it’d be great if you guys pay a little more attention to the cleanness of the restroom. Otherwise everything was very nice

buon appetito was hands down my favorite restaurant of the entire vacation! i ordered the linguine allo scoglio with the white sauce, and when we mentioned we were sharing, they brought it out beautifully split onto two full-size plates for us. at first we thought maybe they accidentally made two orders, but honestly the pasta was so incredible i wouldn’t have even minded if it had been triple the price. the seafood was fresh, the sauce was rich and flavorful, and every bite was absolutely worth it. the service was outstanding from start to finish. everyone was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. they also bring out complimentary bread with marinara sauce, and it was so good we couldn’t stop eating it while waiting for our meal. we mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday, and they went above and beyond by bringing out a huge slice of tiramisu with a candle. not only was it such a thoughtful gesture, but it was honestly the best tiramisu i’ve ever had. light, creamy, and the perfect ending to an amazing meal. the quality, portions, service, and overall experience felt like something that should have cost much more. if you’re visiting little italy,

The tomato pasta was really good—especially the thin noodles. The pesto rice was also quite nice. The octopus was a bit on the salty side. The bread was just okay. My kid had the ice cream, so I’m not sure how it tasted. The ambiance of the restaurant was excellent.
