I went to this library as part of the stamp collecting program that the library system is doing and I’m glad the library system is doing this because I would not have known about this beautiful and cozy library if the program did not entice people to go to different libraries to get a stamp. The outside of the library is beautiful and historical while the inside has amazing murals and nice decoration and the staff were super nice as well. The restrooms were nice and clean and there’s a nice water bottle refill station. I can definitely see myself coming back here to study or relax.

I love that this is within walking from the metro. Just went last night for the first time and the librarians were so helpful and answered all my questions. They helped me find the book I was looking for, and when I was trying to check out, even though I had issues with my e-card, we quickly signed me up for a new card. I was in and out of there. They also let me know about all the things I had access to with my new card. Definitely recommend to others.

Really nice, I went here to print since I uploaded stuff to the cloud, it was very quick they spoke Spanish had computers, nice chill library, has parking and a self return bin( at the parking entrance) and all staff is nice and polite, they also were able to help me, and they said they accept book donations! I have a lot of extra books at home so I will donate, very silent and very comfortable for my autism, I would rate this 10/10 for autistic people

This is the closest LAPL branch to me and I’ve really been happy with it the last couple of years. I’m a teacher and always get my read aloud and unit books here. The children’s section is organized nicely (much better than Los Feliz and Silverlake’s children’s section, though I love those branches too). I really love the architecture but wish that the city or whoever is in charge of the libraries would give the inside some TLC and modernizing.

I was very excited for a long time to visit this historical landmark library build by Andrew Carnegie in 1916. It's a spectacular Italian Italian Renaissance building, a strong reminder of a beautiful past in LA. I went there and took some pictures with my iPhone of the building outside and inside, until .... there was this young librarian, whom I have said politely: "I hope you don't mind if I take a pictures with my iPhone?". And here I received lots anger, very sick kind of anger, he just exploded immediately, I don't know how this kind of mentally unstable person or drug addict can work at public library where kids running around, I wouldn't take my child there. He was super rude, I haven't seen this level of rudeness in so many years, it was really frustrating and dangerous. That is how I felt and I left! I visited few LA's Public Libraries it was always good experience and polite stuff, department of Public Libraries should seriously reconsider and pay more attention who they hiring otherwise people just going to stop visiting libraries and only homeless people going to hangout there. If we want LA to be a good city, we have to make changes, please start it today!
