San Jose is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Jose is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

While I have to admit food was delicious, I am disappointed by the fact that they charge me $7.00 for splitting the dish. I was never told I was going to be charged for it. Never have I had this happen. Usually they just bring one plate and I share it with the other person or they split the dish in 2 or just bring another plate for free. If they had been honest and told me there would be an extra fee I would have accepted but finding it afterwards is just bad business practice and I will not be coming back or recommending this place. Honesty and transparency is very important too and they broke that today.

FOOD: 4.5/5 Molcajete is the most interesting dish on the menu, extra special because it's not very commonly available in the area. The meat was cooked in a mild but flavorful sauce, along with cactus leaves & peppers. The dish is served in a stone pot and is very photogenic! We also tried the Chicken Empanada, it was well made & tasty. Only issue was it was a bit greasy with too much oil on the outside. The nachos were fresh & crispy, but were also a bit greasy. The salsas were very good. SERVICE: 5/5. Consistently excellent! When I told them that I want to try the Molcajete but don't prefer red meat, they offered to swap the red meat for fish & shrimp with no hesitation. And there were other small but appreciable things by the staff. They make everything from scratch, so it took a little time for the food to get to our table, but the wait was worth it!

I got a Carne asada taco and it was OK, the homemade corn tortilla made it 3 stars. The meat wasn't seasoned and the sauce was so thick it tasted like a mole sauce. Service was amazing vary friendly and fast service, very clean place with plenty of parking and plenty of seating inside and out.

This is definitely a 3 star taco place. It was good, but for the price of $6 per taco, not worth what you get. Now the tortillas are homemade, and that was good. But overall not that great. Now we didn't try everything else and we may come back for something completely different. But for the tacos in which we were rating, a solid 3.0

Saddest Mexican food experience I've had in many years. Esquites "grilled corn" was nothing more than a cold half can of corn. Fajitas was a luke warm (barely) stir fry for $26. For the price you can eat better anywhere. Could not recommend to anyone. Go to Luna or any Taqueria.
