San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Diego follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

If you get the opportunity to stay here, please take advantage! As a young woman having this be my first real official solo traveling experience, I cannot say enough good things about this hostel. San Diego is an incredible place to visit and for someone on a tight budget, this hostel made visiting possible- however, the best part was the atmosphere and community. I felt SO comfortable and safe, and like I really had a place here. Everyone cared and helped each other whenever necessary, and were so nice! I met so many people from different cultures and learnt so much about the world in just a week. Andy is awesome and so kind, please stay here!

Had an amazing time at this place, such a friendly atmosphere where you meet people from all over who welcome you into the community of the hostel. The location is phenomenal, we were able to cycle do downtown multiple times and along the bay. The public transport is also amazing, you will never be stuck for getting somewhere. You are a minutes walk away from the main street in Hillcrest full of shops of all kinds, you’re never far from a grocery store or fast food. If you come here you’ll fall in love with the hostel and San Diego, I definitely couldn’t recommend enough !

I initially came to this hostel as a volunteer, but I loved it so much that I decided to stay longer! This was my first solo trip and not once did I feel alone. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and vibrant, making it easy to feel at home right away. The Host Andy is very friendly. I’ve met some incredible people from all over the world and made so many friends. The location is fantastic, with easy access to the grocery store, public transportation, coffee shops, thrifts stores, restaurants and more. Overall, this hostel offers an amazing experience that goes beyond just a place to stay, it's a community that you won't want to leave. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

I've been here 3 days and I'm already planning my next trip back! There are so many things to love about this place, from the absolutely immaculate vibes to the warm and welcoming guests/volunteers. The energy here felt like home immediately. It's so easy to get comfortable and to find people to connect with. Plus, it's so cozy! There are so many hang out spots that look totally unique and fun. It's like every detail was perfectly crafted to create peak, optimum vibes. I'm currently doing my morning routine outside while someone plays beautiful, mellow guitar. You honestly can't beat this.
