Where do I even begin? Foxtale fermentation has something for everyone. If you’re looking for a funky beer, kombucha, mocktail, or some grub, there will be something for you to enjoy. It was peak pandemic times when I stumbled across their indigogo raising money to move into their space. I thought it was too good to be true, a space to hang out like in the before times, but with less focus on alcohol and more focus on products that prioritized gut health? What a crazy concept! So I supported them in hopes that they can bring a third space that remotely resembled their mission. Watching foxtail grow over the last few years while enjoying their delicious food and drinks have made me realize the power of community and supporting each other. At the core, Wendy and Felipe are the dynamic duo behind the awesome concept of Foxtale. Little to they know, they’ve become anchors in the San Jose community. TLDR: foods great, drinks great, atmosphere welcoming!

The food is colorful, creative, delicious, thoughtful, clearly made with care. The portions are generous. Theres a strong community atmosphere here. Every time I come in I see the owners hard at work and greeting people like dear friends. I've brought multiple people who don't like beer and they always end up liking whatever they had at the time (theyre always brewing up something new). My absolute favorite spot <33 I forget to take pictures of my food every time im there so heres one from 2024 😅

Loved this place. The food was fresh and flavorful! Staff was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions. I loved the fox sando. The sunflower spread is a star! Don’t sleep on it. I loved that they had a great selection of mocktails.

We were a group of 5 vegetarians and tried various dishes. We tried their nachos, fermented platter, burger, and mac & cheese. Everything was really good! Unexpectedly both tasty and healthy. The receptionist was very welcoming. He helped me book a table beforehand (recommended if you are a big group since it is a small space), was open to delays, and even left a cute hand written note with my name on it on the table. Highly recommend this veg haven!

We stumbled on this place when we were trying to have lunch at another establishment but it was too busy. So glad we came here, the food is outstanding..All the dishes were made to order full of flavor and home-cooked ! The presentation is gorgeous. Orders are taken at the counter, they bring the food to you. The person behind the cash register was very helpful in recommending different dishes for us. We'll be back!
