Eating out in the United States ranges from food trucks and diners to tasting-menu dining rooms, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the recent reviews are rather than on decor. Most kitchens will adapt a dish for dietary needs if you ask. Many restaurants take reservations online; walk-ins are common at casual spots. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 everywhere.

Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Sacramento follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Kinda sad that I’ve been consistently been visiting this place over the last two years but everything fell off today… from the moment they checked my ID at the door. I came in right before 1 am on a Friday and no one was actively ordering anything, the bar was empty and they were a few tables taken. The bartender didn’t acknowledge us, they didn’t offer water or bring the menu, and eventually she just said if we wanted anything to go up to her to order. The staff was solely focused on cleaning up (one hour before closing) rather than providing a pleasant experience for their patrons. The whole place started smelling of cleaning products and the staff kept coming up to the tables only to pick up dirty glassware. I find this whole experience very disappointing knowing there are so many small businesses struggling to stay afloat.

I really enjoyed this cool little "speakeasy" bar. It's a hidden gem; you have to be looking for it to find it. There are no fancy signs, and you can't see it from the street. The atmosphere was very cool and polished. The drinks were very good. Just know that this place is cash only, but there is an ATM inside. Apparently, this place is very popular; the place was packed by the time we left.

Frank is a tucked away, intimate, and dark bar in the ice blocks that is really easy to miss if you’re not paying attention. There’s a sign letting you know where it’s at, but keep an eye out for the beautiful blue door. Inside it is very dark and the ambiance is one that is meant to be relaxed (not a club vibe in any way) but is not a dive bar at all. There’s tables and bar seating, not a ton so beware if you plan to come in a group. The bar is cash only but they have a no fee atm inside. The bartenders were nice and attentive. The drink menu isn’t super vast, but the drinks are so good! My friend and I got the pistachio martini and the blood orange Mai tai. Both were incredible, definitely recommend the Mai tai! Inside there’s a fish tank that’s SpongeBob themed which I thought was cute, a tiny vintage tv playing silently, one gender neutral bathroom that was really nice inside. I think this is a great spot to check out if you want a break from your regular spots or are in the area and want a drink after dinner! Perfect for date night or a night out with a couple friends.

Drinks were phenomenal. We had raspberry espresso and pistachio martinis, plus egg nog. Also custom gin drink. Festive comfortable atmosphere! Like a homey library. Maybe 25 seats total? This place seems to have regulars. Some brought toys as gifts for the collection box. Would return again in a heartbeat. Located at a side entrance of the Ice Box building.

Frank is a hidden bar. You can easily miss their front door if you don't know where they are or are not paying attention. They're a cash-only bar. So, bring cash with you or stop at the ATM first. The bar is pretty small inside. The bartender takes care of the cash register altogether. She is swamped but still offers enjoyable services. The drinks are good, and the prices are lined up with the bars in the area.
