I decided to visit mainly because Felix is associated with the brand, so I was curious and honestly pretty excited to check the place out. The café itself looks nice and the atmosphere is decent, but overall the experience felt a little underwhelming for me. The drinks were okay, but nothing especially memorable. They weren’t bad, just more average than I expected considering the hype around the brand. I’ve definitely had better boba tea at other places in Los Angeles. I was also disappointed that there wasn’t really any merch or noticeable in-store collaboration content related to Felix. As a fan, I expected at least something small that would make the visit feel more unique. Overall, it’s an okay spot if you’re nearby, but I personally expected a bit more from both the drinks and the overall experience.

The snowman cups are very cute and the biscoff drink is good but a bit sweet for my taste. For some reason there is an option to choose the snowman cup when ordering the drink but that is for adding on an second empty cup? The staff member seemed a bit annoyed when I asked what happened.

The Gong Tea located at Little Tokyo is completely disgusting! The sugar level is crazy. My friend ordered 50% sugar and he felt like 200% sugar. I ordered 100% sugar and I felt like 500% sugar compare to other Boba drink places. They are too sweet that are undrinkable. The drinks made us want to throw up! They are basically pure sugar syrup. Please check your recipe and train your employees!

I stopped by this boba tea spot in the Little Tokyo area and had a pretty enjoyable experience overall. What stood out to me first was how the ordering system works—all orders are placed on a screen rather than directly with a cashier. It felt modern and a little fancy, and I actually enjoyed customizing my drink on the screen. It was fun to scroll through the options, adjust sweetness, ice, and toppings, and really create something that felt like my own drink. I decided to go with the brown sugar Earl Grey milk tea. The tea itself was really good—the Earl Grey had that fragrant, slightly floral note that balanced well with the creamy milk and rich brown sugar. It wasn’t overly sweet, which I appreciated, and I could tell the tea quality was solid. The only thing that was a little disappointing for me was the boba. It didn’t feel like it was fully cooked through, and I noticed a slightly floury texture in the center, which took away from the usual chewy and springy bite I normally look forward to. Maybe it was just an off day for the tapioca, because everything else about the drink was on point. Even with that, I’d still recommend this place, especially if you’re in Little Tokyo

I was craving some boba and decided to get one at Gong Cha. I have had Gong Cha in different stores, also in different countries. For this location in Little Tokyo, I got to say it is very sweet. I did 50% sugar and really felt the strong sweetness. Boba was small and a little on the stiff side. Ordered triple jelly, nothing too spectacular. Store was a little understaffed. Saw one employee running back and forth. However, I appreciated that they were considerate of the wait time.

Gong Cha is an okay choice for milk tea, especially for people who love sweet. 🧋 However, even the "no sweet" option is still tooooo sweet for those accustomed to traditional milk tea flavors, which can be disappointing. 🍬❌ Additionally, the automatic tip setting feels unnecessary for a milk tea café, which knocks another star off. 💰⚠️ Overall, decent drinks but not the best experience for those looking for authentic flavors and fair pricing. ⭐⭐

If it’s not that 3 out of 4 drinks are very much too sweet for me, I’d give it straight 5 stars. This place is great for sitting down and hanging out. They have FREE working wifi that was pretty quick. I found it rare in little tokyo. The shop is cute and the staff was great 10/10!

My favorite boba place and I am so glad they have several locations :0) This location is conveniently near Little Tokyo and had a good amount of seating (we walked a lot so it was nice to sit). It didn’t take long to get the order either. I loooove their Panda tea (milk tea with boba and jelly!!! They had cute valentines decorations and a contest going on that you can join to win free drinks.
