Nice place to discover in San Jose, CA. The park seems divided into two if I’m not wrong. Overall, I think it is a good park since it offers resting spots and appears clean.

If I could give it negative stars, I would! This place is an absolute scam... It is not a park! It's a shady path that goes along the side of the highway under multiple bridges etc. The several "encampment free zone" signs are an indication of how heavily encamped the path is. Granted that no one I came across was actually of bother, if by chance I did come across someone who was, my options would have been to run into the "river" or try to climb the fence guarded by thorny weeds taller than me, only to jump right onto the highway (which was the probably the safest part of the trail, unlike the parts that are sandwiched between the river and concrete walls). All the nice reviews are literally just people who got to the entrance of the trail and probably no further. But absolutely DO NOT GO ON A RUN OR WALK on this "trail".

Beautiful well kept. Spongy floor so the kids fall. No head injuries. Awesome array of swings and safely equipment. Kids can play for hours. Places made to be in the shade with seating for parents. Looks deceiving from the parking lot, it is very nice

This Guadalupe River Park can definitely use some maintenance!!!! This park is about 120 acre on the banks of the Guadalupe River that stretches along 2.5 miles in the downtown area. It is surrounded by many Tall buildings, various businesses, and many other Historical Shops/Restaurants. A short distance from the popular San Pedro Square Market, Sap Center, Heritage Rose Garden, Discovery Meadow, and Plaza De Cesar Chavez. There are walking Trails, Tennis Courts, bike paths, playgrounds, Shades, Bridges, Benches, Restrooms, and it’s a Dogs-Friendly Environments for the public. I’m sure glad I came here on a perfect peaceful evening where the views are radiants and beautiful!!! A Lovely day right before sunset!!!! I definitely wouldn’t want to be walking around here after dark. Too Creepy!!!!! September11, 2025

Very nice park and great little walk but as others have mentioned there is a bunch of trash and people (assumed to be homeless) lurking about. There are a few birds in the many beautiful trees and TONS of ground squirrels. I ran into a couple of Canadian geese and a type of duck I have never seen before with a long narrow beak.
