Social awareness + great service = loyal customers. The gentleman (I’m assuming he’s the owner) kindly offered me a generous scoop of the 1020 flavor to try without me even asking. That small gesture really stood out and made the experience memorable. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Awesome ice cream place!!! Clean, local and a very friendly staff. They have like 20+ flavors of Marianne's ice cream. Prices are good. The lady in front of us ordered a banana split - it looked amazing! They even have pints to go and all sorts of drinks and juices too. My favorite flavor was "Heaven" and Oregon blackberry. You need to come here every week!!! Best ice cream shop in San Jose!!

This ice cream here is better than 99% of the ice cream shops I’ve been to I would highly recommend coming to check out this place especially if you’re a local! These flavors are better than most popular places like Baskin-Robbins! The service here was amazing. Matthew helped me out and was extremely patient with me being indecisive on what flavor to pick and made it such a great experience!! The ambiance in here is perfect! The lay out is nice, the lighting is perfect, and the overall design looks and feels great when coming in! The Strawberry sorbet was so delicious!!! I would highly suggest trying that flavor!

Happy Scoops Ice Cream is a refreshing, newly opened gem in South San Jose. Located in the same spot as the former Sweet Retreat, this ice cream shop breathes new life into an older shopping center, creating a warm and inviting space that’s both clean and filled with charm. You can feel the love and care that went into making this spot special. The ice cream? Absolutely delicious. With a wide range of flavors, there’s something for everyone, and the prices are refreshingly reasonable. Alan, the owner, was kind and enthusiastic, happily sharing his story about opening the shop. It’s clear he’s passionate about creating a place the community can enjoy. Happy Scoops is a welcome addition to the neighborhood—a spot for both locals and visitors to enjoy. I highly recommend stopping by for a scoop (or two) and experiencing this new treasure for yourself!
