The pastor is Hispanic so even his English service sounds like he's speaking in Spanish. I could NOT understand about 90% of the service! I won't be back!

I used to go to this school it was horrible I started in kindergarten and that was nice but as soon as first grade it got bad the teachers would make fun of students like me I was asking how to spell and the first grade teacher at the time said “Look at X he can’t spell, this is what happens when you don’t pay attention.” And during this time i was being bullied in the same grade I TOLD THE TEACHER AND THEY DID NOTHING THEY WATCHED ME GET DRAGGED ON THE FLOOR. They didn’t do anything until my mom did something. All that happened was that they weren’t allowed to come to school for a day! So in summary the teachers make fun of you don’t care about you and the students with bullying you.

I am not Catholic. However, they host LA Girls Rock Camp every year. The camp is a music camp for young girls to be empowered and to facilitate a positive environment where any female youth can learn any instrument. They will form a band. They learn to compose a song with their band mates and on the last day they will perform their song that they wrote. The environment is positive and encouraging. The camp councilors are accomplished musicians that have been thoroughly vetted and background checked. Most councilor’s have been involved with the organization for years. The girls are treated to a private concert from a famous musician at the location. For example Katy Perry and Shirly Mansion from Garbage to name a few. I applaud this institution for their part in investing in the facilitation in building a healthy and encouraging environment for young lady’s to be exposed to musical avenues normally designed for our male counterparts. Rock on lady’s!

My sisters and I were each baptized in this remarkable old and cherished church. My father was eulogized by a long-ago radio announcer, and actor who was very much part of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, you may wish to find his name: Pedro de Cordoba. Of course, this goes back long before most of reviewers were born. We lived on Union Avenue and our lives were wrapped around the school and the church which we loved so very much. I have long moved on with my life but I assure my family and friends that what we experienced as kids is now being enjoyed by many others. From time-to-time, when I visit Los Angeles, The Church of the Immaculate Conception remains one of my favorite visit spots. Memories, are always good when I walk the stations along the outer aisles and recall how my mother took me by the hand and demonstrated her faith. Just wanted to share a long-ago thought or two with you.

Was nice, just hard to hear father. Either his mic was not loud enough or he was just not speaking loud enough. Hard to understand his homily. The other microphones were nice and loud. Nice environment, though there was no A/C, it was comfortable. First time I attended a mass with minimal lighting. Beautiful children choir, we caught the English mass. People were friendly.

We went to 7:30 a.m. Mass today. It was very nice. They need more music books so that people can follow along with the singing. It was close to the convention center. We were able to walk there from the Marriot where we were staying.
