Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Los Angeles follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The worse management ever. The workers there are so rude. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. The church is very beautiful but because of the workers I will not recommend at all. They ruined my wedding day.

My partner called the front desk to ask about visiting hours and they let us know that they have volunteers who would be happy to give us a tour whenever we liked. We ended up going during my lunch break that same day. Victoria was so kind and delightful, she paid close attention to our questions and had incredible insight on not just the history of the church but the history of the city. We are both LA born and raised but god, what a different city it must have been growing up in the 50s!! She really made the entire experience for us. And of course, the church is stunning. The Byzantine inspired mosaics blew me away, and the paintings on the walls were meticulous and dynamic. I am not Greek Orthodox (raised culturally Catholic) but I felt so welcomed here. I recommend a tour to anyone who is curious and interested in local history. Special shout out to the church cat!

The old lady that works the front said my daughters outfit wasn't appropriate because she had shorts over her pants, and said they normally don't let people in like that yet iv seen multiple women with TIGHT clothing bearing it all be welcomed in without a problem. Maybe it's because we're white and not Greek. I was very kind to this lady, gave her a hug. She knows were catholic and very new to the orthodox faith, and just visitors in the church. That was very un welcoming and in christian especially for christmas. Would not reccomemd this church

Charles P. Skouras was an American movie executive and president of Fox West Coast, known for designing many historic movie theaters. He spent 2 million dollars to build this cathedral, which was completed in 1952. In 1973 it was designated Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument No. 120.

I was there for a funeral. The priest talked about orthopraxy (practice, what you do) rather than orthodoxy (what you believe). Great service. Beautiful building.

I'm not of this religion but was fortunate to have toured the church. It's completely stunning inside!! A must see. The people who worked there were extremely kind and welcoming! I was impressed with the time they took with our group to share their church and it's history with us. They have a wonderful community of people of all ages who drive long distances to be a part of this place of worship.

This Greek Orthodox Cathedral does not get 5 stars because I'm Greek. Not at all. It is indeed a place that exceeds your expectations of a cathedral. The church itself is really spacious and super beautiful inside. The Easter ceremony there is magnificent and you might catch a glimpse of Tom Hanks sometimes. There is ample room for parking which transforms into a great space for events which they organize often there, with live music, dancing and food. I have had many incredible days there. Check out my pictures for both events and church ceremonies.
