I called THREE TIMES before going in to MAKE SURE that they were open at 3 am. The lady on the phone was the same lady 3 times, and she said they were open, open 24/7, open right now. My friend goes... He gets there, and its closed. Are we serious? I call again and said that its closed, the same lady says to knock because someone might be in the back. I tell my friend to knock, he does, and theres a worker there whose in the back in the kitchen. She goes up to my friend outside and she said that they're closed. I cannot fathom how this just happens. Is this normal. Are we actually serious. When I called the threes too, I asked each time "is this the Jack in the Box on San Carlos street?" and every single time she said yes and confirmed they were open. MY FRIEND GETS THERE AND THEY'RE CLOSED. Absolutely beyond furious and extremely hangry now too. Do better.

This place is a little old and may have seen better days but do not let that stop you. This may be the hidden gem of San Jose. The service and the food are outstanding. Seriously I have been in San Jose for a week and have eaten here four times. Each time the food is fantastic. I just keep coming back. The tacos are… amazing…perfect…sublime. Is there a word that sums up literal perfection, if there is use it. It will describe these tacos. Yes it is jack in the box. I get it. Who cares, do yourself a favor and come get these tacos and remember your childhood.

Friendly and very dedicated staff!!! Food was great!!! As European, I struggled to find a breakfast option with vitamins in the US, but the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl absolutely hit the spot!!! Thank you so much!!!

I like going here for cheap and fast food. Usually the service is fast, but they always get my order wrong. They neglect to add sauces I ordered and sometimes forget my add on drink. Today brought me to my limit… How are these considered “Large” Curly Fries!? The cup is halfway filled and the fries are really cold. I feel less inclined to go again since I don’t want to be scammed out of my purchase.

This location is not too bad. I live around the corner and appreciate the late night hours and 2 tacos for .99 if ordering through the app. The people working handle the crowd and get you what you ask for. They work to get people in and out. It’s usually pretty clean and I don’t know if the bathrooms are open. Probably good not to open, downtown can be dirty.
