Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Los Angeles follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I called to ask a few questions regarding getting my physical card; rudest customer service ever. I said thank you I appreciate it”at the end of the call and the lady hung up !

Please communicate with patrons that the library is closed for cleaning in advance. The area is also not safe with multiple people typically sleeping outside.

This was our first visit to this library. When entering, we were greeted by a staff member sitting at a table with informational materials. There was a security officer also there. He was friendly and said hello to me and my child as we entered the library. We visited on a Monday morning and there were very few patrons there. It was quiet and inviting. We played with the library provided toys and read in the children’s area. Everything was neat and orderly. One of the librarians was putting back books on the shelves and mentioned the summer reading program. My daughter and I approached the reference desk and the 2 librarians were very helpful in signing us up, explained the program, and even gave my daughter a free reading book in her kinder level. We found some books and went to the front to check out. The librarian was very friendly with a big smile and while checking out my daughter’s books mentioned the summer reading program. We look forward to coming back to this library again. Only downside was when a mother came in with her 3 children in the children’s area and wasn’t supervising her children. She had her back to her children and was looking at her phone the whole time.

You get treated like a customer at the DTLA DMV at this library. IYKYK. Some librarians are kind, while others lack customer service skills. When I went to pick up my hotspot a day late, the librarian at the checkout had a horrible attitude. I had called ahead to confirm that I could still pick it up, and was told it wouldn't be a problem. However, when I arrived, the librarian at the counter didn't greet me when I said "hi" and immediately asked for my library card. I explained that I only had a digital card and placed my phone on the counter. She told me, quite rudly, that I was lucky they still had the hotspot for me and told me to pick it up on time next time. There was no need for her unkindness. While I understand that I was late, I would have accepted being turned away. When I returned the item she was just as rude and inviting. I don't understand why some choose a service jobs when they truly don't want to provide the public with friendly service. The librarian didn’t provide any instructions on how to use the hotspot or information on returning it, which would have been helpful. Her attitude reminded me of the service at the L.A. DMV, where staff seem to be having a roug
