American restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and sales tax is added at the register.

Food here was amazing. All the items are halal. I ordered the Lamb beyti and a few other dishes with my family. You really can’t go wrong with the chicken either because they cooked that perfectly. It’s located in a very good area with a parking garage close by. I recommend this place for sure just a little pricey.

My boyfriend and I are staying in San Diego for a couple nights and went here for dinner on our first night because I love Mediterranean food. This place had amazing food! The resturant is really nice inside and our waitress, Tugba, was so friendly and very welcoming. If you are wanting to try some Mediterranean food in Gaslamp, I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be coming back. 😄💛

Really glad I came across this place. We went here on a week day. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. We ordered Coban salata. The sauce was so delicious. Ezme was one of the best ezme I ever had. Be careful, it was spicy:) As a main, I ordered salmon and my husband ordered adana. Both very so delicious and tasteful. Although for some reason the rice stole my heart. What a taste! I dont knoe what but something about it was so good. They have raki and meze options as well. As a dessert we had rice pudding and it is safe to say that its the best rice pudding I had in San Diego. The service was exceptional as well. Throughout the dinner, our server took very good care of us. We had the privilege to meet one of the owners as well. She was so welcoming and made our experience even better. Definitely recommend here if you want to try good Turkish food.

It is a rare occasion when a critic finds themselves stripped of their habitual skepticism, yet Mimosa—a Mediterranean and Turkish jewel nestled in the vibrant heart of San Diego’s Gaslamp District—leaves one no choice but to surrender to excellence. The Libations:  It began with a masterclass in mixology. In an era where "craft" is often a hollow buzzword, Mimosa’s cocktail program is genuinely inspired. The bar manages a daring tightrope walk between tradition and innovation, weaving together the anise-scented bite of raki, the smokiness of mezcal, and the delicate floral notes of rose and pomegranate. It is a level of liquid creativity I haven't encountered in years. The Culinary Journey:  The meal transitioned seamlessly into a quintessential Mediterranean spread; the mezze: an appetizer sampler that defines "abundance." From the silkiness of the hummus to the smoky depth of the eggplant and the cool tang of the yogurt dip, every element was elevated by pita bread so warm and pillowy it felt like an embrace. The Mixed Grill: The centerpiece of the meal. This platter—featuring lamb, chicken, Adana kabobs, and gyro—was a testament to the art of the fire. Each cut of meat bore
