All the staff at Mission Valley Pet Clinic were amazing in caring for my spicy cat, Zombie. I am so grateful to have found them when Zom began to get sick. He had been turned away from an urgent care for being grumpy, so I was concerned about finding him regular care. Everyone at Mission Valley knew how to handle him effectively and humanely. Saying goodbye to Zom became unavoidable, but Dr Herrera did everything she could to diagnose and treat his condition, including keeping in contact with me as his illness progressed. Dr Klinger treated him for his initial respiratory infection, and was understanding and compassionate on the day we had to say goodbye. I was a mess, but she was very patient and empathetic. The staff were able to get him in quickly for his appointments, and remembered him when I would call. We were always brought to an exam room quickly, as they seemed to recognize that being around other patients made him anxious. Zom was my best friend, and grieving him has been incredibly difficult. But I am so thankful to have found Mission Valley to care for him during such a hard time. Everyone there truly cares about their patients and pet parents, and will do everything p

Wow, I am so happy to have found MVPC and Dr. Herrera!! My sweet little kitty. Mousey, was just looking very skinny to me. She is a very petite cat but I was worried about her. From the second I walked in the door to the end of the appointment, I was treated by the kindest staff and they were super caring and knowledgeable. Dr Herrera was amazing! She immediately put me at ease. There was no upselling of unnecessary tests or pushing any kind of products, nothing like that at all. I am so pleased with the care Mousey received!

I am incredibly grateful for Mission Valley Pet Clinic! When I was unexpectedly rushed to the hospital due to seizures, I needed a safe place nearby for my dog. Without hesitation, the staff quickly stepped in—making sure I received the care I needed while ensuring my sweet boy was safe and comfortable. Their professionalism and compassion were evident from the very beginning. While I was in the ICU, they went above and beyond to coordinate with my parents, keeping Rocky’s routine consistent so he felt secure and free from anxiety. They provided constant updates, which gave me so much peace of mind during such a stressful time. Especially in a true emergency, I could not be more thankful for the kindness, speed, and dedication of their team. I feel completely confident leaving Rocky in their care. He is happy, well-looked after, and I know he’s in the best hands possible.

We’ve been bringing our two cats and two dogs to Mission Valley Pet Clinic for nearly 10 years, and I honestly can’t say enough good things. The entire team is incredibly attentive and treats our pets as if they were their own. We’ve worked with Dr. Herrera, Dr. Klinger, and Dr. Frank — all of whom are knowledgeable, compassionate, and take the time to explain exam results and treatment options thoroughly. I’ve never once felt pressured into unnecessary procedures or upsold on extras, which says a lot about their integrity. They even went above and beyond during dental procedures and saved my dogs’ teeth for me at my request (yes, I’m obsessed with my animals 😆). One of the things I love most is how easy they make communication. Being able to text the office to schedule appointments or even send a quick photo of a concern is such a relief. The front office staff and techs are always welcoming and helpful — special thanks to Melissa (RVT), Lily, Brianna, Josie, Jessica, and Erica for their kindness and professionalism. Prices are extremely fair for the level of care provided. If you’re just looking for the cheapest option, this might not be the place — but the peace of mind know
