For those who remember when theaters were theaters, before they switched to bringing home conveniences like recliners with heated seats and cooling drink holders, servers bringing food and beverages while the movie was going...blurring the lines. When the flicker of film brought a rhythm of it's own to the movie. Very clean theater. Great way to revisit a bit of cinema from a simpler time. From before the days of the Thunderdome. Well run, maintained and curated. For an extra bit of fun hit up a midnight showing! And when you do go and enjoy some food and beverages, try and remember what it's like to live in a polite and respectful society with other humans and pick up after yourselves by throwing away your own garbage!

Most favorite cinema of all - always on film, great atmosphere and midnight screenings of Tarantino films are special.

What an absolute gem! This place was AWESOME! From when we walked in you could feel it’s a locally run place and the people really care about the movies and customers. Prices for tickets (especially 3 shows!) were great, concessions prices were also super fair and the strict no phone policy was amazing. From when we sat down you could feel a retro vibe and movie buffs were standing around and chatting about the movies and getting excited, it was so refreshing and genuine and couldn’t be further from a “modern” movie experience where everyone plays on their phones or tablets during the whole movie. The movies themselves were also of core super fun to see especially in 16mm, I’ve never seen that before! Being in LA of course you never know if you’ll see someone well-known in the audience watching a 1940-‘s movie with you it’s so fun. Overall this place has such a great movie-goer vibe with a passionate presenter (owner?) that I feel like you just don’t get from regular movies now and it was unexpectedly charming and welcoming. If I lived here I’d be a regular for sure, but if you’re passing through like us definitely come check it out!!

Best popcorn this side of the Mississippi. Strict no phone policy. Love this place. Love the pre movie commentary. Love the atmosphere. Love the trailers curated especially for the movie we’re about to see. I come here at least three times to four times a month.

Been coming here for years and absolutely love this place! One of my favorite theaters in LA. Always has such a great lineup of movies each month and gives you the chance to see movies you normally wouldn't get a chance to see in theaters. I recommend preordering your tickets and lining up early to get the best seat. The popcorn here is so tasty much better than other movie theater popcorn. You also sometimes get surprise appearances from people who worked on the movie you're seeing which is really cool. The staff does a great job at making sure the movie experience isn't ruined by talking or phones which I greatly appreciate and makes every trip there great. They also have great merch for any fans of Quentin Tarantino's movies or the theater itself. If you're able to go to this theater I recommend it! A great place for any local or visiting cinephile!
