I was tooling around LA and searched breakfast near me, and Nick's appeared. It was a great old school diner experience. I give them points for that. Nothing fancy, but a five star experience. The was excellent. I got the pancake sando, comes with a larger stack, meat (burger patty) and eggs. I would select the small sando next time. Get the large stack if you're hungry. I would definitely come agin when I'm in LA.

I love Nick's Cafe. I take others to share the tasty, delicious food whenever I get the chance to. Sometimes even alone. Im 1 for counter seating & this place has it. Good vibes, delicious food, great service. From chilaquiles, to nice fluffy pancakes & even their 1/2 lbs dogs, anytime, every time,a good time.

In a city where overpriced and bland food with tiny portions run a muck, Nick’s Cafe is a breath of fresh air. You can tell they’ve been doing this for a while and know how to do it right. No BS no Frills just great food and fast service. Wait times can be crazy so be prepared. Close to a park to walk off the food after. Brought my parents here from the midwest and they loved it. Def a must stop!

Small Truck Stop Diner comfort with a great variety on the menu. Check out specials when you're there too. I wa surprised with the variety of hot sauces they had. There was 3 caddies all different and the 3 premium Chile de Abuelo, which I tried at Smorgasburg along with some salsa in a squeeze bottle. Homemade biscuits and grilled muffins are amazing. Great breakfast and lunch options along with vegetarian. Light eaters section and even early bird menu. They own Rock'n Egg Cafe in Eagle Rock which also features they're massive pancakes I definitely liked that old school feel to the place, check out their vintage Coca-Cola cooler at the round end of the counter. Hours are 6am - 2pm (3pm Saturday and Sunday)

After visiting Nicks from the UK many moons ago (in 2017), we decided to take a trip down memory lane in 2025! It's the perfect old-school, no frills diner, and for movie/TV buffs is a must-visit, as it pops up in so many shows! We were able to get a seat at the counter without a wait (on a Monday morning, so maybe not peak time) and had the same seats as 9 years before, so that was cool! We enjoyed a nice breakfast, that was well priced, done quickly and tasted fresh, and was served efficiently. We even managed to buy some souvenirs this time around! Look forward to another visit in the future!
