The Apple Pan is such a little Westwood gem 🍔🍟🥤 Everything feels simple, fresh, and done right. The burger and fries came out hot, the service was super quick, and the prices were honestly great for the quality. You can tell the food is cooked fresh, and the root beer float was the perfect nostalgic little finish. I also really loved the counter-style seating. It has that old-school 1950s/60s diner feel, and because everyone is sitting around the bar together, you sometimes end up chatting with the people beside you. That feels weirdly rare and really nice in such a digital age. It’s cute, unfussy, affordable, and full of personality. Definitely the kind of place that makes you feel like you found something special instead of just another restaurant. I’ll absolutely be back ❤️

Such cool place and very reasonably priced! Tough find now days in LA. Hector was amazing! I went with my lady and the first thing we got was a side of fries and after serving them he whipped out a paper plate and squirted two helping of ketchup with out requesting. That’s never happened to me before and I didn’t know it was missing in my life till now. Thank you hector for showing us what true customer service looks like lol. We will be back for sure!

Classic old-school LA burger spot. Price: 5/5. Parking: 3/5 since it’s mostly street parking. Worth the 40-minute drive if you’re specifically looking for nostalgic diner vibes. Burger n pie burger is definitely better and just as nostalgic but the value is hands down here. For 2 burgers, fries and pie at the Apple pan, I can only buy 1 burger and a pie at burger n pie 😭. I will be coming back to the Apple pan. The food isn’t mind-blowing, but it is solid comfort food - an old-fashioned burger and good pie. You come here more for the atmosphere and history than for some over-the-top foodie experience. Service was amazing - they knew what I wanted before I asked for it, happy face ketchup, cleaned up napkins as they were used. Honestly I’m going back just for the service and the vibe. There’s an outdoor patio if you prefer sitting outside, but the classic counter seating inside is definitely the move. Not necessarily a must-visit for out-of-towners, but if you live in LA, you should experience it at least once. Will definitely be back.

My bf and I each got a burger, and shared fries. The fries were just okay, in my opinion, but my bf liked them. I did not like that the burger came with a very thick chunk of lettuce, about as thick as the patty itself or thicker. I pulled it off mine. On the other hand, my bf thought the lettuce balanced out the meat, so your mileage may vary. I also didn’t love the amount of hickory sauce, and felt like it was drowning the burger. Again, though, my bf thought it was great. If I were to come back, I would ask for a burger with no lettuce and no hickory sauce. But not sure how likely a second visit is when there are many burger options in LA better than this one, in my opinion. We both loved the pies! My bf got banana cream, and I got choco-banana. They are delightfully light, not heavy or too filling. Service was just okay. We could see that our burgers were ready, and our server walked past them and us to check on and take orders from several other parties before bringing us our food. Not amazing.

Probably the best burger I've had in a long time. The relish was awesome in the steak burger though it didn't taste like steak, seemed like regular burger. However the hickory sauce in the hickory burger literally gives vibes of old west cowboy smoke. Simply outstanding. The parking is horrible, but still worth visiting if you want an awesome burger. 💯
