Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and sales tax is added at the register.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Amazing food and service. Unfortunately I ate everything before I thought to snap a photo, but the pizza box was one of my favorite touches. We had a reservation and arrived much earlier and were sat with zero hesitation. Cannot wait to return. Thanks for my first impression of San Diego’s Little Italy! Love from Boston’s North End<333

I think overall this restaurant offers a nice and relaxing spot in the heart of Little Italy. The service was overall good but maybe a little bit brisk. What had ordered: I thought the linguine vongole was a bit mid. Mainly, it lacked flavor or zest - it felt like pasta that had just been cooked and tossed into a plate, with clams and some olive over and salt over it. I'm not the most critical restaurant reviewer in the word but I have to say it was over-priced and not compelling in any way. What also surprised me were the chopped slices of garlic, which can be very, very nice but here they were somewhat raw, so biting into them was slightly repellant and I have to carefully put those on the side of the plate. My friend's gnocchi was much better. The one pictured below had a very nice pesto and pine nut finish to it. I would rate it favorably if you like to people watch. I personally enjoyed sitting outside on the fair summer weather and seeing the people passing by. One little note: the waiter felt a bit rushed. I tend to ask waiters what they recommend. The waiter responded, briskly, "Everything!" He didn't provide recommendations, but was affable and friendly, and a little b

Really cool Italian place with great food. Our servers were friendly and seated us right away. We really liked the focaccia bread, and the pastas were excellent. We got the tortelloni and carbonara, and both were standouts. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Great ristorante in Little Italy. Service was absolutely stellar. Prices were reasonable and excellent menu choices. Good Italian fare includes many vegetarian choices. Did not order pizza but the pizzas looked delicious. Ordered the Rigatoni Contadina and enjoyed it thoroughly. Whatever you do, save room for dessert. Willnot hestitate to dine at Nonna's again.

We loved this place with open air dining right in Little Italy with amazing food! It wasn't as pricey as some of the others, so I had some concern that the pasta dishes might not be as good. They exceded expectations! We had the short rib pappardelle and the mushroom tortelloni. Both were divine with homemade pasta, interesting and wonderful flavors and plentiful portions. I would order the same dishes if I get to visit SD again.
