I first tried Paesano back in 2017, and since it had been a while, we decided to come back for another visit. We ordered two Pollo Saltimbocca dishes (one with a cream pasta substitution for an additional $8), the Pollo al Limone, and a half bottle of Chardonnay. The restaurant offers one indoor dining area and two outdoor seating areas—one in the front and one in the back—which gives guests plenty of seating options. The food was a bit saltier than our personal preference. The cream pasta substitution, despite the extra charge, wasn't anything particularly memorable compared to similar dishes we've had at other restaurants. However, the highlight of our visit was definitely the warm and welcoming customer service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel appreciated. We also appreciate that the restaurant closes for a few hours in the afternoon before reopening for dinner service. It's nice to see a business that gives its staff a break during the day. Parking can be a bit challenging due to the busy neighborhood. Be aware that street parking is paid, and most spots have a two-hour limit, so you'll need to keep an eye on the time. Finally checked out an Italian restaurant in Little Italy and couldn’t have picked a better spot! Such a charming, cozy date-night restaurant. We walked in around 8 p.m. on a Friday night without a reservation and were seated right away, though it was clearly busy—definitely recommend making a reservation, especially if you’re planning to go earlier on a weekend evening. We started with a bottle of wine, and they bring out complimentary bread with an olive oil mix (dangerous if you’re like me and can easily fill up on the free bread). We shared the Insalata Cesare, which they thoughtfully split for us without even asking—such a nice touch. For dinner, we ordered the Gnocchi alla Genovese and the Gamberi e Calamari Fra Diavola, and it was the perfect combo. We originally considered two pasta dishes, but I’m so glad we didn’t—it would’ve been way too filling. The pasta was incredibly fresh and packed with flavor, and as a basil lover, this dish absolutely hit the spot. The seafood was also delicious, fresh, and perfectly cooked, and it came with a side of veggies and roasted potatoes that rounded everything out nicely. Made a reservation here on a Saturday around 5p. Small venue. Excellent service and amazing food that came very quickly. Got to watch the 49er-Seahawks game on the bar TV. Such a great way to end the night! Great restaurant!

Cozy, elegant, great food and excellent service! Our server was delightful, attentive, professional, fast and with great suggestions. He is clearly experienced! Their rabbit was delicious! Their selection of desserts are just perfect along with their wine selection. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone seeking for a great meal in the heart of San Jose's Silicon Valley.

Cute little dining area outside. Loved the atmosphere and the pappardelle was AMAZING 10/10. Would return for just this dish. Back again and tried the fettuccine alla moda, also highly recommend!
