I stop by Reyes Meat Market from time to time and usually grab their tacos. The carnitas tacos are definitely the highlight—super flavorful and always on point. The chicken tacos are good too, but could use a bit more seasoning. Prices are great for the quality you get. There’s no dine-in area, so it’s mostly takeout, but they also offer desserts like flan and a variety of meats if you’re looking to barbecue at home.

I’ve lived in Sacramento for two years now after moving from San Diego. This place is by far the best meat market I’ve been to in this city. I’ve been to many trying to find flavors comparable to my hometown and Reyes is a strong competitor. You can also find a ton of Mexican groceries and special imported goods you can’t find elsewhere. I highly recommend visiting this store the next time you need Mexican groceries!

Love the Tamales. The jalapeño, and Chicken, pork, yum yum. I have had a hard time finding decent Tamales that have enough Masa and meat with the flavor. Well I have now found them. Try them you will like.

The only place is Sacramento that I like their meat. Always get the arrachera meat & ribs & chicken. Their tacos are also good. Try their green salsa it’s perfect.

Reason for the 5 stars is their meet prices and hot deli, for those of you who don't know they have food inside that you can order to eat, tacos, burritos, carne asada plates, toratas, you name it. I mean carne asada plate with rice and beans and tortillas for $10 bucks? That's a steal. My co workers and I do taco Tuesday every week, make sure you ask their daily specials and taco Tuesday specials. my personal favorite are the gorditas de chicharron con Chile, picture attached.
