Hey friends! This is about sustainability only. I deeply appreciate and was pleased to see that your shop offers real, reusable mugs to customers. But I was sad to see that nearly every single customer enjoying your tasty beverages to stay, was drinking from a single use plastic cup, on site. It feels like this could be an easily solved problem, with baristas asking customers if they will enjoy their drink to stay, and with customers making a point to request their beverage in a mug, for here. Because by 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. And over 90% of the plastic we produce and consume does not get recycled, but rather piles in landfills, gets burned in incinerators, or floats off in the ocean, with all roads leading to a breakdown into microplastics that leach chemicals into our ecosystems and our bodies. If your a café already offers the better option, and clearly has the infrastructure to collect dirty dishes and clean them for reuse, then with a simple tweak in communications, you could greatly contribute to both the local health of San Jose and the broader health of our planet. First of all their ambience is cool. Their service was amicable and quick. Quite busy place among locals here. I tried their iced caramelita and it was amazing. The balance was perfect and the flavor of coffee was apt. I now want to try more of this pace and will be back soon.

I always drive by Roy's Station, decided to try out their drinks. I got a Spicy Mocha, it was good. Their are prices are your regular coffee spot so don't be surprised. Didn't try any food but they have a variety to pick from. Outdoor seating & aid street parking available. Check them out

☕ Reliable Coffee in a Historic Setting Located in the heart of San Jose’s Japantown, Roy’s Station is a staple for a reason. I stopped in recently for a coffee, and it was a perfectly good experience. While the coffee didn't necessarily blow me away as the "best ever," it was a good, consistent cup that hit the spot. They serve Verve Coffee Roasters beans, which are high quality, and the baristas seem to know what they are doing. It’s the kind of place where you can count on a solid caffeine fix without any major surprises, which sometimes is exactly what you need. 🥐 Tempting Pastries and Local Bites Although I only came in for a drink this time, I spent some time eyeing their food display. The pastries looked really good—they were well-presented and looked incredibly fresh. I noticed they carry a variety of items ranging from classic croissants to more unique treats like Korean garlic buns and even spam musubi. It was tough to walk away without a snack, and based on how quickly they seemed to be moving, they are clearly a hit with the locals. After a long time, a coffee shop has brought me real joy. Been to, a bunch of coffee shops of lately, and been disappointed with one thing or another but this was a real welcome surprise. Well, this rating is close to 4.5 what it is not perfect five because I will doc points for the quality of pastry. Let’s start with the good things first. The coffee was really good, and you could tell that they use good quality beans. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the service was extremely quick. The ambience is great and there is a lot of indoor as well as outdoor seating. On a nice bright sunny day, it is a great place to just sit outside and grab some coffee. Prices are great and they have a good selection. My only complain would be that the pastry is just average. The almond croissant filling was overly sweet, and the croissant was not very flaky. On the other hand, the chocolate chip cookie was extremely crispy and did not have a soft gooey interior. I will definitely be back here and bring more friends!
