This place was impressive with food and a limited one page food menu, no specials... every single thing that came out was delicious! We had lobster, steak, cauliflower, shrimp and brussels. Nice variety, plenty of gluten free options and great choices on desserts, like a skillet, cookie and ice cream, cream , yum! Wine and beer -lots of choices! Only 4 stars bc bathrooms were very messy and out of soap!

We had a lovely meal here on the rooftop. Our server was amazing and the atmosphere was really fun. I read other reviews that complained about noise levels but it was not an issue. It was a lively atmosphere but we could still hear each other talking no problem. Our food was delicious as well. And our server brought us complimentary glasses of champagne because we were celebrating our anniversary. Highly recommend!

Rustic Root We came here for a late dinner and had a wonderful experience. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was stylish and relaxing. I ordered one of their signature cocktails, and it was absolutely delicious. We also shared the lobster pastaβit was rich, creamy, and packed with juicy lobster. The Caesar salad with avocado was fresh and a perfect starter. Overall, everything was excellent. Highly recommended if youβre looking for a great dinner spot in downtown San Diego! πΈπ¦π₯

We were here visiting San Diego for the first time and ended up here as we explored the downtown area. We went here for drinks only and were super impressed. We ordered the Lovers Flannel and Trailblazer drink. We were first seated in the shade at a high top, but we got cold in the shade with the breeze picking up and asked to move to one of the couches in the sun. Our server Tyler G. could not have been more accommodating. He let us move to warm up and it caused us to want to stay longer and order more drinks. Tyler was attentive, friendly, and truly made our experience. Lounging on the couches and overlooking the street/crowd below made for a great ambiance. We watched many food orders come out and they all looked like big portions, nice presentations and yummy options. When we visit again, I would love to go back here and enjoy more cocktails. Thanks for the great experience.

My wife and I went to Rustic Root for Valentineβs Day. And it exceeded our expectations. First, the staff were extremely attentive and friendly for the entire experience. Secondly, the views from the second floor were great for people watching in the Gaslamp Quarter. Third, we enjoyed the vibes and music. Fourth, we appreciated the decor throughout the establishment to celebrate Valentineβs Day. Lastly, the food was top notch. I ordered the Maryland Style Crab Cake Eggs Benedict for Brunch and my wife ordered the Iceberg Wedge Salad. Both meals were delicious. Such a great way to start the day. We definitely plan on returning!
