Medical services in California range from neighborhood family practices to major hospital systems. Ask whether the provider accepts your plan (Medicare, Medicaid or a private insurer), what the copay is and whether a referral is required. Pharmacies can advise on common ailments and many medicines are available over the counter, but a proper diagnosis from a doctor is the safer route for anything that lasts more than a few days.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 9 am–7:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (415) 675-8973. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, missionsfca.com.

San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Francisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Danielle is amazing. I made my first appointment after a new diagnosis and new medication that was causing rough side effects. She made me feel so safe and cared for. My appointment with her got me on my path to recovery and I’m in such a better place because of it. She was so knowledgable and recommended a supplement to aide in my healing in addition to regular acupuncture. It’s so amazing that they offer an affordable acupuncture option in a sea of $100+ options elsewhere. It’s hard to afford body care and self care these days, so I’m so grateful that SF community acupuncture exists. Thank you for the rest and see you again soon.

I used to receive community acupuncture regularly before covid, but lost it when I moved back to the Bay Area. I'm so grateful to find this place. The community style is affordable and potent and really works well for me. I'm trying to go once a week, and it feels like my soul is coming back into my body. The people here are kind and this place feels like a vortex of healing. Thank you SF Community Acupuncture. 🙏

I had a great experience at San Francisco Community Acupuncture. I have IBS and was dealing with back pain and abdominal pain. The acupuncture and cupping helped a lot. I’ve had two sessions total, one week apart. After my first session I already felt lighter, and after my second session today I’m feeling even better. Thank you to Janice!

Easy scheduling, delightful staff. My first treatment gave me relief from an eczema flare, and the topical and oral medicines are also taming the burn. I will be back for more healing.

I love this place and have been coming consistently for years but today was a bad day. It took me an hour to get here with 15 mins to spare to find parking. Unfortunately it ended up taking me 30min to find a spot. The receptionist didn’t try to make it work after I arrived 15 mins late. Of course I know they have a policy and I respect that but I also would appreciate some empathy. Last year the same thing happened and they were able to put me in without an issue - the acupuncturist said it was totally fine and she didn’t even need to ask me much to start treatment. I just feel defeated and very sad now that I’ve lost my treatment when I work 80hrs a week and never have a moment to myself. I also have policies for my small business but when I see someone is in desperation I help them out. Beware parking can take more than 30 mins which is absolutely ridiculous (it’s 2pm). Now I’m just sitting in my car on my only day off on the waitlist to see if they can squeeze me in with a cancelation. They won’t even invite me in if a person is a no show. They’re just collecting those payments without treatments and being rigid with people who do show up but 15 mins late. No loyalty to long
