Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 everywhere.

San Jose is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Jose follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We happened to be driving by and stopped for lunch. Glad that we did! Everything had great flavor! They were out of the first thing that I asked for so I got a burger. The server was very nice, had great recommendations, and made great conversation. The burnt end appetizer was a hit, for sure. Smoky flavor with hints of both mustard and honey. Mac and cheese was creamy and perfectly baked. Will definitely be returning.

First off the server was awesome, service was great. Food....we ordered the 2 meat one side. You get to choose from 2 meats that are included and everything else is a 3 dollar upcharge, one side. Now that 29 dollar plate just jumped to 35, bbq is always expensive but at 35 its usually 3 meats or at least 2 sides(corn bread/ white rice doesnt count as a side in bbq). We came here after work and were ready to eat. I had 4, yes FOUR 4 inch pieces of brisket and about 7 nickel size pieces of burnt ends. Brisket was OK at best, it was more of a sample same with the burnt ends, Luke warm at best. Mac n cheese was good, beans ok. Spent 50 bucks and still had to hit Costco for a hotdogs after. To expensive for sooooo little food

I am not sure if this was a one time thing, but I paid $40 for a very small portion of food (see pic). Most items you have to pay extra when ordering online. The food was good but it was not enough for the prices. The white rice it’s just a plain white rice, so not sure why so little and expensive. The pico de gallo a very small container and you pay extra; it would be nice to revisit prices and or portions. Sadly I wouldn’t recommend ordering online. I’ll try it in person again and see if maybe it was just a one time thing.

The service was excellent. We both got the 2 meat platter and everything was delicious. They have 4 BBQ sauces to choose from. We had a great experience. Our total, with 1 iced tea and 1 water, was $59 + tip.

The real deal is Smoking Pig BBQ that features flavors and huge smokers! Let’s begin with the service which was quick, friendly conversation, and overall ok. It was a little interesting walking in you think you would order at the register then we were asked to sit first then someone came to serve us. The atmosphere is rough, rugged, bbq style feel, and diner type of look as well. The restaurant wasn’t as clean as I would like it. You can see the bbq bottles are worn. Now onto the Main Event: the Food! The burnt ends were full flavor and good sauce 8.5/10. The pulled pork could have been warmer but the flavors and seasoning were on point 8/10. Fries were solid as they should be 8.5/10. The bbq chicken was good but could be improved on flavors 6.5/10. The cornbread and butter spread was really good 9/10. Overall this place is worth a try, places that smoke they have long cool times were can hinder flavors an heat depending on when you come so I always suggest multiple meats. Cheers!!!
