The brisket and pulled pork were both delicious, the mac & cheese was really good too. Portions were generous, we had enough leftovers to make two brisket sandwiches for dinner The only downside was the price, lunch for two came to about $90 for a regular meal, a combo, two drinks and you order at the counter with very little table service Great food, somewhat overpriced

After a perilous journey through the beaten path of San Jose, my three cronies and I stumbled upon this inconspicuous abode. As a humble duke I’ve had my fair share of barbecue around the globe. We decided to share a scrumptious, delicious, nutritious, delectable meal comprised of the juiciest beer, the tenderist brisket, the flavormaxxed tri tip, the mustard forward potato salad, and the creamy mac n cheese. The outdoor haven atmosphere was quite pleasant with the music being perfectly balanced to where we could discuss our previous voyages. Overall, mac n cheese 3/5.

came to this restaurant around 3:30 PM on a Sunday. It wasn’t too crowded, and the decorations were fantastic. There’s a large merch wall and a selection of spices you can buy as gifts, which adds to the experience. I ordered the 4-meat combo and chose the brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and burnt ends. For sides, I went with mac and cheese and beans, and for bread I chose the garlic bread. All of this came out to $42 pre-tax, which I think is a pretty good deal. The brisket was my favorite—very fatty and smoky, exactly what I look for in good BBQ. The burnt ends were extremely salty and heavily sauced. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but they’re a bit hard to eat on their own because of how salty they are. I think they’d be much better paired with a piece of bread. The ribs were a little disappointing. They didn’t fall off the bone, which I was hoping for, though they did have good flavor. The pulled pork was fantastic. There were plenty of fatty pieces mixed in, which made it especially enjoyable. It was noticeably fattier than the pulled pork I’ve had at other BBQ spots, in a good way. We walked in with our Son and Daughter-in-Law all of us on our first visit. A warm welcome on a Wednesday Evening just as the venue was getting busier. Tempted by the menu online we were not disappointed. There’s a good selection of beers on tap and if none of them take your fancy there’s more in the fridge. For those looking for soft drinks there’s a good selection as well. We chose a mix of ribs, turkey, sausage, slaw and Mac-n-cheese to share. We were not disappointed and with the portion sizes we just about managed to get through. Single serving of the fruit cobbler between the four of us. Give this place a try … it’s well worth seeking out
