My son has really blossomed at sylvan. We started him at sylvan just before first grade when I realized he was regressing at recognizing site words. He was already struggling at the end of kindergarten and all summer trying to get him to read was losing battle. He immediately loved the place and left the assessment asking when he could come back. Now he is about to start second grade and ended the year one of the more advanced readers in his class and actually enjoys reading. Even though he has caught back up to grade level, we’re keeping him there to make sure he does not go back to regressing.

We have found the Sylvan location to be absolutely great for our son. We love the fact that it is individually focused work rather than just a large textbook to follow. Additionally, he’ll go there for two 1-hour sessions a week. Do his work, learn from them, take lots of pride out of it, and then he can be done. He doesn’t have to go home and fight through repetitious homework by himself.

My son has been going for about a year to improve his writing. Within the first month the improvement was noticeable. With each session his writing gets better and better. I would highly recommend Sylvan of Camden if you are looking into tutoring.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. My nephew looks forward to coming to tutoring. He can work on homework or his tutoring plan. I no longer fight with my nephew about editing his writing or doing math practice.

Sylvan has made reading fun for my son, and he has been going three times a week! Director Spencer, Jamie, and Mrs. Julie are incredible. My son has been making progress, and we are very pleased overall!
