We came here on a Saturday morning and had a great experience. We walked in and was seated right away. The waitress was friendly too. The restaurant is small, cute and very lively. There is a breakfast bar as well as plenty of tables. One thing I wish is that they stayed with classic menus, it'd be easier to look at all of the options as the qr code layout was a bit much. We ordered the buttermilk pancakes and the Mom's French toast, so tried the classic flavors, and they were great. There are a LOT of flavor choices here! The pancakes are HUGE. When you order coffee you get a whole French press on your table so it's nice strong coffee! We had a great experience and it was delicious!

Ah shucks. I've been coming to The Griddle for over a decade. It's been a go to with my out of town guests. In the past, it's always been wonderful for not only amazing food, but fun to people watch. This visit was just not great at all. We sat outside. Now, I can't blame The Griddle for the vagrants that inhabit parts of our lovely town, but having someone stumble by, grab sugar from the neighboring table, then the hot sauce off the next table as they reel away is disconcerting. The proprietor did come shoo him off and reclaimed the hot sauce. Rather than reassure me, I became concerned that perhaps others who may not have observed proper hand hygiene had touched the maple syrup on my table. I ordered the $15 French Press Coffee. I love coffee. I have imbibed bad coffee over the years (between hospitals and airports, I know about rewarmed mud). I expect French Press coffee at that price to warm my soul. I don't know if the press wasn't properly cleaned, or the beans were old, or not ground well... but the coffee tasted stale. It made me sad. My "Mom's French Toast" was fine. Not the extraordinarily delicious experience I recall from past trips, but nothing to complain about.

Well, bad news first. It gets super crowded and there is often a line to get in and parking can be a bear. But the line moves pretty fast. Once in the service is pretty fast and they will get your order right. They are very nice and can guide you through the menu. They have vegan, gluten free, and vegan options. We have been there several times for breakfast and lunch. They have a full bar and it looks good, but we have never tried it. The place is very clean and cute. It is small, but it is comfortable and they have some outdoor seating and a counter. The food is so good. We love their pancakes and their French toast. They have huge portions and a wide selection of pancakes and French toast. My favorite is just their regular stack with eggs and hash browns. Their French press coffee is great. We also love their tea. My grandson likes their fruity pebbles crushed French toast. If you want sugar it may be for you. I tasted and said no I don't think so. Their banana pancakes are great. They have a big selection of pancakes as I mentioned. Their waffles are great and they have tasty syrup. They even have chips with a great salsa and whatever else you want. Have fun.

I was a little skeptical when coming because the place was empty, but I was thoroughly surprised with just how good the food was. Interior gives more of a diner feel for sure! Our server was attentive and gave us a heads up on just how big the pancakes were, and yet I was still shocked seeing the size of them. I ordered the breakfast tacos and the Golden Ticket pancakes. The breakfast tacos were stuffed and had a great flavor to them, but be warned they are messy. The Golden Ticket pancakes were incredible, I wish I had a bigger appetite truly because I kept eating them well after I knew I was full. On the pricier side for breakfast, but the portions make up for it. Highly recommend, definitely a memorable breakfast and they have a ton of different pancake flavors.

The infamous Griddle Café is an absolute must when you are in the area. The pancakes are larger than the plate and are delicious. The menu has a variety of breakfast options and there are a number of different pancake options as well. All great choices, some tough decisions to make. The coffee comes in a French press and is super fresh! They also have morning cocktails. The staff is super friendly and attentive. We love trying new things when we visit. You may have to wait in a line outside but we’ve never had to wait because we’ve gone on vacation during the week when people are working or are in school. Can’t wait to go back!
