I just went in to The Lab today for my annual hair cut and I am IN AWE with the final result. I’ve been going to The Lab for years now, each time with a different stylist, and each time the haircut and service has been great, but today especially was excellent. This was my first time having Gracie Luna as my stylist, and I am quite happy to say that this is also the first time I’ve ever had a haircut that was TRULY my style. From the beginning she was super receptive to what I wanted and was able to make it work for my face shape and hair texture. I had wanted a more choppy bob with layers and curtain bangs, and I have got exactly that with not only the exact length I had envisioned but also great styling tips for keeping everything looking the way I want it. Truly, beyond impressed!

I had such a great experience with Alex at The Lab A Salon. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and quick-witted, which made the whole appointment feel relaxed and fun. You can tell she really knows her craft and genuinely cares about giving you the best results. If you’re new to San Diego, this salon is the perfect place to go. It has such a welcoming, accepting vibe that makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. It honestly feels like a warm hug. I also loved the energy of the salon itself. Everyone works so well together while still having their own creative style. It’s refreshing to see a team that supports one another without losing their individuality. You can tell a lot of heart has gone into building this business, and it shows in every detail. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend Alex to anyone looking for an amazing stylist.

I’ve had such a great experience with Lab A Salon! After moving to San Diego, I really wanted to find a salon and stylist I could visit long term, someone who would truly understand my hair’s needs and help build a foundation for ongoing care and maintenance. I booked with Lab A and was matched with Carrine, and she has been incredible. She is so skilled at what she does and completely brought new life to my hair. She’s also an absolute pleasure to chat with and such a lovely person. I really appreciate her personalized approach and am obsessed with the results she gave me. I couldn’t recommend her more and will definitely keep coming back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an amazing experience with my Xo! She took the time to listen to all of my ideas and absolutely nailed both my hair and makeup. One thing I especially loved was that she used airbrush foundation, which gave me a flawless look without feeling or looking cakey. It still let my freckles show through, which was exactly what I wanted. My hair looked beautiful and stayed perfectly in place all night—not a single strand out of place! She was professional, talented, and made me feel so confident for my event. If you're looking for someone to do your hair and makeup for a special occasion, I highly recommend booking with her. You won't be disappointed!

Catalina did an AMAZING job! She’s super sweet and listened to what I needed. It’s hard to find someone who knows how to meet your curly hair needs but she was perfect. She gave me a great haircut with layers and a balayage. My hair looks amazing and I’m getting lots of compliments. I’ve never left a hair salon so happy.
