My friend and I wandered into here the other day the restaurant is very cute! We started off with chips and salsa which our server offered on the house! Super generous! The salsas were all on the sweet & mild side not really flavorful, we were hoping for at least one of the 3 to be spicy. The tacos are a little pricey, one of my chimichurri tacos was missing the potatoes which at $7.50 a taco, I definitely noticed. That being said it was still a good taco. I could’ve totally said something but we were in a bit of a time crunch. Our drinks were fantastic it was our favorite part of the meal. I forgot what mine was called but I was delicious

We had a reservation for the 7 of us before the soccer ⚽ game over at Paypal Park. We decided to share a few plates of tacos and some appetizers! Ordering this way spares us the leftovers and helped us all eat lighter so we could enjoy some snax at the game as well! The food was really delicious 😋 and drinks were great too. The service was quiet and unobtrusive while we all talked and got excited for the game! We sat in the covered area at the back and it was protected from the traffic and outside noise. We could all chat and easily hear each other. Parking wasn't a problem in the street we had 2 hours free parking and that was plenty for our group.

Chile Relleno lunch was highly recommended as a favorite and I agree! It was delicious! Generous basket of crisp fresh chips served with tasty guacamole. Loved the local casual atmosphere.

Really enjoyed the group (8ppl) lunch here. We had a couple vegetarians in the group who had no difficulty finding a delicious vegetarian option. The Chile Relleno tasted very authentic and was presented in a more modern/upscale manner. Everyone in the group enjoyed their selections (tacos, quesadillas, etc.). Tasty spread of house salsas ranging from sweet & smokey to spicy 🔥. The short rib empanada was tapas size but packed with flavor and fried perfectly (not oily/greasy as they can often be). Ambiance and service were fantastic; shout out Carlos! It's a small place which makes it an intimate experience but there's also a tented outdoor area with heat lamps and blankets-really stellar setup. I felt like I was transported to a trendy/modern restaurant in the heart of Mexico City. Kudos to the team for showcasing authentic Mexican dishes and flavors in an elevated and trendy manner (and atmosphere)!! Cocktails and happy hour vibes looked great - can't wait to return and experience!

When you think about artisanal tacos, there really isn't that many dimensions that you must nail. Yes, on top of the tacos being served in a visually colorful way but also, the protein (fish, shrimp, beef, etc.) must be fresh and emaculately seasoned and flavorful by itself. Not only that, the overall flavor must come together with perfection - whether it is the sauce, salsa, onions, etc. Unfortunately Zona Rosa is not able to pull its weight in a couple of these categories. Zona Rosa as a fiesta vibe taco joint scores perfectly from an ambience perspective. The atmosphere is relaxing with an adob-like feel and spaced out tables. You feel like you've been transported to Los Cabos. With the appropriate music, and a cool shaded back patio, it really does feel like an escape. The service too was decent. My only complaint was that they didn't have Tabasco or regular hot sauce. Just a black jabanero sauce. Now I wouldn't have been looking for Tabasco had the tacos been flavorful so the fault ain't mine if you accuse me of looking for unauthentic hot sauce to splatter. Let's talk about the food.
