What can I say, we have stayed at several AC hotels throughout the bay area and out of state. This one did not disappoint either. Simple, yet modern. The lobby is beautiful. Check in was seamless. All good things about AC hotels and look forward to our next stay!

I was down in San Jose visiting the Google campus. This is a nice hotel that reminds me of European hotels. Bed is low to the floor and floors are all non carpet. Rooms are serviced everyday which I like. And there is another hotel right across the entrance with a good restaurant and a Japanese whiskey bar. Feels new and modern and I will visit again.

The AC Hotel San Jose Santa Clara offers a sleek and contemporary atmosphere that many travelers will appreciate. However, there are some significant drawbacks regarding room storage. The hanging space provided is incredibly small and likely won't suffice for more than a night or two of clothing. Furthermore, there is no traditional wardrobe or closet in the room, which makes it difficult to organize your belongings. If you are traveling with multiple suits, dresses, or bulky items, you will find the layout quite challenging. It's a stylish property, but the lack of functional storage is a major oversight for anyone staying longer than a day. Overall, while the aesthetic is nice, the practicality of the room design leaves much to be preferred.

This was honestly the worst value I’ve experienced at a hotel, and I travel often. For $600 a night, you’d expect basic comforts, like a proper place to set your luggage instead of leaving it on the floor. Like a dresser or folding stand would have been helpful. The hallway walls felt worn and neglected, more reminiscent of a service alley than a four-star property. The closet is in the bathroom, the worst place to hang your clean clothes right next to the toilet. The worst part is a lady came barging in when I was naked just getting out of the shower. It was 8:30 in the morning, please tell me why housekeeping would come in that early?! Breakfast was equally disappointing. The avocado toast tasted overwhelmingly of garlic, and the overall quality was underwhelming. It felt like a run-down hotel trying to present itself as luxury. We decided to move next door to the Hyatt for our second night, and the difference in comfort and quality was significant. Save yourself go anywhere else but here!
