Such a great place in San Diego. Great to see and learn some of the city's history. Great views and hiking trails. The pass you buy upon entering is good for 1 week. I was pleasantly surprised when the ranger told me that. Also they tide pools are fun to check out.

Such a wonderful national park area, that many people donβt visit (even locals). It gives you a birdβs eye view of Downtown SD, shows the military bases throughout the area, and you can even see Tijuana. And on the west side, there are remarkable tide pools, a fun lighthouse, and potential whale sightings! Donβt miss out on this hidden gem!

Cabrillo National Monument is my secret sanctuary in San Diego. Whenever I feel frustrated, need to relax, or simply want to spend a peaceful afternoon somewhere beautiful, this is one of my favorite places to go. It is tranquil, never too busy, and the trails are easy to walk. You can also drive closer to the coastal side and enjoy the ocean views without much effort. The panoramic view of San Diego from the monument is incredible. It is the kind of place where I can slow down, clear my mind, and never feel like the afternoon was wasted. Truly a special place.

Really stunning vistas from almost every angle. $20 park fee (or free if you hold an annual park pass) Lots of parking and facilities (toilets) were clean. You can spend a little time (like an hour) or a lot of time of you want to go hiking. This is unmissable

Wasn't a planned visit, but definitely worth going. Beautiful scenery, great staff and learned quite a bit that I didnt know before, which is the best part. From the original landing to being developed into coastal defense it was all wonderfully presented. Views of the bay and mountains in the background are worth it alone. The tide pools and geology were a highlight as well. I'd definitely stop back to spend more time.
