I enjoyed my time here. It shows you how San Diego looked back in the day. You will see the history of San Diego & learn about the city & how the growth of the city influenced the area. Plenty of activities for the family. Also a lot of places to eat, drink & shop. You will find a lot of unique things for sale that truly have to be seen to be appreciated. I am looking forward to my next visit to the San Diego.

Fun place to spend half a day. See historic buildings presented in historical context, and some as shops. We walked through most of the shops and the museum buildings that were open. Must give the β€œtourist” warning, food is expensive, and knickknacks are also pricey. Fun things to buy if you need a luchador mask!!

What an absolute gem! We had a fantastic time wandering around Old Town San Diego. The historic charm hits you the second you step into the district β€” beautiful adobe buildings, vibrant plazas, and that perfect blend of old California and Mexican heritage everywhere you look. The walking was easy and so enjoyable. We strolled through the State Historic Park, checked out the shops filled with unique artisan goods and souvenirs, and soaked in the lively atmosphere with street performers and mariachi music in the background. As a chef, I loved seeing the authentic Mexican eateries and markets β€” the smells of fresh tortillas, carne asada, and churros had me planning my next meal the whole time! Everything felt welcoming and well-maintained. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone wanting a relaxed, cultural day trip. We’ll definitely be back β€” highly recommend spending a few hours (or a full afternoon) exploring on foot. Old Town San Diego delivers that classic Southern California experience with heart and history. 10/10 β€” don’t miss it! β€” Chef Mark Coakley

Old Town is beautiful. It's great for singles or families that just want to enjoy the towns history and really good food. The best time to go is Dia deLos Muertos, in October. They decorate so beautiful and festive. My favorite shop is the Leather Store. They make beautiful purses, wallets, bags, shoes. I made sure to make a quick visit during Cinco de Mayo weekend. We had drinks and appetizers at Antonias, it was very good.

Beautiful shops, diverse and unique. Absolutely loved the entire experience. Lots of historic buildings with their histories and stories. There was a shop where people can build their own candles and soaps. Loved that. The miners and gems shop too had lots of pretty collection. Lots of good music and good eateries to explore as well. Steeped in old californian and mexican culture
