This is such a beautiful place to enjoy a view of San Diego or catch a sunset. Parking available, some close others a short walk. At dusk it gets damp and chilly so bring a jacket.

Beautiful and relaxing time at Kate Sessions Memorial Park in Pacific Beach! Stunning view of San Diego, you can see downtown, the water, even the Coronado bridge. So many people were there having picnics, relaxing, a lot of positive energy. Some people even set up zip lines and tight ropes between the trees. Towards the top of the park is a nice playground for children. Public restrooms available but not the cleanest. Definitely worth visiting, recommend!

If you’re looking for one of the best views in San Diego, Kate Sessions Park is hard to beat. The park is always well-kept, with clean open spaces that are perfect for relaxing, picnicking, or just enjoying the outdoors. The real highlight is the view, you get a stunning panoramic look over the city, Mission Bay, and the coastline, especially at sunset. It’s peaceful, spacious, and has a great vibe whether you’re going solo, with friends, or bringing your dog. Definitely a must-visit spot if you want a quiet place with one of the most incredible views in San Diego.

The Dolores Park of San Diego. I found this place during COVID and have been coming ever since. If you’re looking for a birthday hang, a picnic date, a sunset spot, a place to read, chill with your pup spot, or make some art, this park has you covered. It’s the perfect spot for any occasion. The views are breathtaking and the vibe is super laid‑back. There are always plenty of people around, so it feels like one big community hang. If you’re lucky, you might even catch someone DJing or playing music everyone can enjoy. They also offer community yoga classes here — I haven’t signed up yet, but it’s nice to know it’s an option. The park is pretty steep in some areas, so you might need to walk around a bit to find a flat spot where you’re not sitting at an incline. I’d recommend bringing chairs, blankets, and any shade essentials you might need since there aren’t many tree‑shaded areas. Parking is tough and the bathrooms are your typical not‑so‑great public park bathrooms, but don’t let that stop you from experiencing the best park in San Diego.
