For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. American restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and sales tax is added at the register.

Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Los Angeles is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The food here was genuinely excellentβ€”everything we tried was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The vegetarian seekh kebab stood out in particular, and the pistachio kulfi was a perfect way to end the meal . The ambience is also lovely, with a warm and inviting vibe that makes the space feel special. That said, the service left something to be desired. It was quite slow, likely due to how busy the restaurant was, but we had to follow up on our orders more than once, and even getting seated took longer than expected. Overall, this is a restaurant that truly delivers on food and atmosphere, but improving the service would make the experience much more enjoyable.

This restaurant was amazing! They have a beautiful lush space with plush chairs and bohemian colors. It was lunch time so not super busy which was nice. Giri was kind and attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. I would definitely dine here again as there were so many great options on the menu, but I really liked what I got. For my appetizer, I got the parmesan truffle fries. It comes with ketchup that you can serve with a little spoon to avoid double dipping if you’re sharing. For my entrΓ©e, I ordered the vindaloo which I was really happy about because it has a red curry and I’m a sucker for curry. I was a little sad because I wanted the saffron basmati rice that came with another dish but to my surprise, the vindaloo came with it as well. The food was flavorful and filling, and everything came out in a timely manner. This place sits in between historic downtown LA and little Tokyo, a six minute walk from the historic Broadway, Metro station very centrally located and a good spot for lunch or dinner.

Holy cow this place was delicious! The flavor, the presentation, the ambience were all wonderful. And the service was efficient and kind. My sister and I shared the Pani Puri as a starter, the Cali Chilli Randang w/ paneer for our main, the Dairy Daal, Paratha, and Saffron Rice as our sides along with Mango Passionfruit Rose Lassi and Cali Chilli Powerhouse to drink. We left very well fed. Also our server, Giri was kind, checked in on us an appropriate amount of times while also not hovering us which was very appreciated. Highly recommend

CaliChilli redefines fusion dining by blending traditional Indian spices with global culinary styles. The interior is beautifully designed, reflecting traditional Indian culture. Soft Indian music and instrumental melodies played in the background, creating a calm and soothing ambiance. Looks like this place can accommodate up to 100 people inside. Today we came to this Indian restaurant at 06:30 PM. The staff were very friendly. They gave us a warm welcome. We ordered Dum Biryani, Pani Puri Poppers, Mango Passion Fruit Lassi, Classic Burrata Saag Paneer, and Naan. Their service was fast, and our food was served promptly. The food was exceptional - expertly prepared and cooked to perfection. The Dum Biryani, Pani Puri Poppers, and Classic Burrata Saag Paneer were richly flavored and truly delightful. The Mango Passion Fruit Lassi was among the finest lassis we have had to date. We enjoyed the food very much. Our overall experience was pretty amazing. A great place for Indian food lovers. Under the leadership of Michelin-starred chef Mural Manjunath, the restaurant presents a selection of flavorful entrΓ©es, desserts, and thoughtfully crafted zero-proof beverages. We’ll definitely b

This place prides itself on having unauthentic Indian food. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. It was super pretty here and people are really nice. I got their mango passion fruit lassi, cauliflower fritters, garlic cheese kulcha, and chef’s signature cut to try. This was my first time ever having anything like a mango lassi and wow. Thick, rich, creamy, perfectly sweet, mangoy, with a slight hint of passionfruit. The cauliflower fritters were amazingly crisipty crunchy and savory and came with a sambal sauce that added an extra layer of creamy roasted curry flave. The garlic kulcha had a lightly crisp outside, with yummy buttery, garlicky flaves and was chewy, fluffy, and soft. The chef’s cut came with perfectly grilled veggies, a tender, perfectly cooked, meaty filet Mingon that paired with an aromatic, creamy vindaloo curry, and really good garlicky, thick, savory mashed potatoes. Pure deliciously. Overall this place is pretty good. Mango lassi $12 Cauliflower fritters $16 Garlic cheese kulcha $14 Chef’s cut $59
