Everyone was so friendly and kind, the service was stirring and the environment felt pleasant and welcoming. "Connect to Captivate" at Captivate Church of San Diego. We attended the Wednesday night service and absolutely loved it. Pastor Wes was a guest pastor at our church the previous weekend, and his passion, knowledge, and energy really stood out. He felt so genuine and real that we were motivated to come visit his church and we’re so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, everyone was welcoming and kind. The atmosphere felt warm and inviting, and God’s presence was truly felt. It’s clear this church is growing and moving in the right direction, and it’s exciting to hear that they’re even opening another location nearby. Our daughter especially loved the children’s ministry. The teachers, Mr. Landon and Mr. Brock, were incredibly welcoming, and she had such a great time that she asked if we could come back. We really enjoyed the service and look forward to going back again. Thank you for creating such a loving, faith-filled environment for both adults and kids. - Jason & Amanda

Captivate Church is the community you’ve been searching for. I’m not sure who will read this, but if you are looking for a genuine, Christ-centered church, this is it. Pastor Wes, the lead pastor, fully embodies Captivate’s mission to end spiritual loneliness. His messages are deeply profound, relatable, and always rooted in Scripture and the teachings of Jesus Christ. What makes Captivate so powerful is its focus: every sermon points back to Jesus—not personal opinions, not interpretations shaped by politics, not self-promotion—but the true Word of God. Ending spiritual loneliness is no small mission, and I can say from experience that Captivate lives it out. I’m young, multiracial, and a California girl, and yet I feel completely at home here. So many churches today seem to adopt divisive ideologies or push political agendas, turning worship into commentary on culture rather than a reflection of who Christ calls us to be. Captivate is different. Pastor Wes is different. For a long time, I stayed away from organized religion because of how far many churches had drifted from Christ’s message of love and humility. I was spiritually lonely, trying to navigate my faith on my own. I

Seeking a New Home Church – A Testimony from This Morning We’ve recently been stationed in San Diego and have been prayerfully seeking a new home church. This morning, we woke up ready and excited to gather in worship and hear the Word of God. We decided to visit Captivate Church in Point Loma for the first time. As worship began, I did what I always do—I closed my eyes, lifted my hands, and entered into the presence of the Lord. I opened my heart to the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to move in me as I sang, prayed, and worshiped. I felt a deep sense of joy and peace—the undeniable presence of God covering me. When the worship ended, I opened my eyes and my daughter leaned over to whisper in my ear. She told me that the people around us had been pointing, whispering, and mocking the way I was worshiping. Her face fell, and she began to cry—feeling judged, excluded, and grieved instead of embraced with love, unity, and grace in what’s meant to be the house of the Lord. Two women in front of us continued to whisper to one another. I gently leaned forward and told them, with respect, that I didn’t appreciate the way they were whispering and judging me while I worshiped. I explained th

I visited Captivate Church in Point Loma last Sunday after running into my friend Nathanael, and I’m so glad I joined him. From the moment I walked in, it felt very welcoming and comfortable. The service started with uplifting music and then moved into a powerful message from the Bible that connected directly to everyday life. It really spoke to me and left me encouraged. Overall, it was a great experience and a perfect visit. If you’re looking for a church home, I would definitely recommend checking out Captivate!

Captivate Church is absolutely awesome. Everyone at Captivate is so welcoming, friendly, and welcoming. I love Captivate's focus on building friendships and community. The family atmosphere is so nice. They even serve free coffee, donuts, and lunch every week after services. All of the pastors are truly gifted and insightful. I am deeply blessed to be able to benefit from their messages. Thank you so much for your service to the community and to God! An A+. Highly recommend.

We have been going for a couple of months, and we are weekly stunned by the atmosphere of worship and the super abundance of gifted worship leaders and their teams. Every single week we are blown away by the talent gathered to serve at Captivate Church, (we have gathered with three, possibly four different teams and found each team wonderful in creating an atmosphere of worship.) We appreciate the sacrifice of gathering for worship and teaching from the Bible in a smaller worship setting. It does mean that this church has five services to accommodate all of those who would like to come in person to church, and you will not get to see everyone who gathers at one time, but we really love the smaller setting. A smaller setting is easier to connect face to face with others. And we are in awe that the teaching pastors preach this many times on a Saturday evening and four services on Sunday! We have felt very welcomed as we have started this journey of “church” in SD. Weston Stutz is Lead Pastor and really faithful to the Bible in the messages he brings, but it is great to hear from the other pastors, too. ~Sam and Caleb are also passionate teachers of the Bible. We go to 11 AM Sund

I have been going to Captivate for nearly a year now. I love this church. There is an incredible quality of authentic leaders. The leaders of this church really care about each person and you would have to be working really hard not to be approached by a church member. This church really puts into practice showing the love of Christ. Pastor Weston preaches amazing sermons that are incredibly insightful and as well as practical to every day life. He gives points that are incredible. This church offers many different communities available for everyone. I am currently in the prayer community and I have developed great relationships that have been vital for my walk with the Lord. I love this church because it practices what it preaches.
