I think there's a mismatch on Google Maps in terms of which page this belongs to. This review is, in specific, about Citizens LA Church, a Korean American church that meets at a High School in DTLA (near Chinatown). Overall, service was fantastic. The pastor was grounded in Scripture, the worship was Spirit-led and the ushers were helpful and kind. I've been checking churches in the area but it's tough given that most of the churches with young (20s and 30s) people fall into the Korean American group and, although I have like 4 or 5 Korean friends, it's definitely a more homogeneous, closely-knit and insular group to try and fit into than any other out there (Asian or otherwise). That's on me, though. I came due to a friend's suggestion (he's KorAm), but at the last minute, he flaked on me, and I ended up at a mostly KorAm church by myself, lol. Highly recommended church if you're Asian or Asian American, in college or are post college and still relatively young (20s, 30s), as I think this church specifically caters to that community.

truly an amazing place that shows the strength of the faith of the Korean American community but with one huge issue- nearly a hundred toddlers and babies that share the same large echoing hall for worship service. we could never get into the sermon as babies are crying and screaming and the pastor speaks very loudly to drown out the baby noises with the speakers blasting and ringing in our ears.

Absolutely fantastic experience of church from the sermon to the praise. They have guest speakers here once in a while whom are really great at speaking. The worship is like a live concert. That's how great the praise team is. Pastor Alex is funny uses excellent rhetoric and has awesome sermons. This church has made me grow drastically in my spirituality. PTL. btw all are welcome. I'm gay and I'm happy with their stance. LGBT friendly is a plus.
