For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. American restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and sales tax is added at the register.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (408) 577-1995. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, dishdash.com.

San Jose is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Jose follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The Veggie Delight at Dish n Dash is seriously one of the best vegetarian options around. Everything tastes incredibly fresh—from the crisp vegetables to the perfectly seasoned grains. The combination of flavors and textures is spot on, and nothing feels heavy or overdone. The hummus is smooth and rich, the falafel is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the sauces tie everything together beautifully. It’s a satisfying, healthy meal that doesn’t sacrifice flavor. On top of that, the service is quick and the portions are generous. Even if you’re not vegetarian, the Veggie Delight is definitely worth trying!

Pretty standard Mediterranean fare. Te portions are huge but there's nothing special about the food - it's mediocre assembled plates or wraps or salads. The condiments that you can fill up yourself are nice though. Atmosphere is average. The interiors are a bit too dark to be honest. Gives more of an old school American restaurant vibe than a Mediterranean place. Prices are roughly $20 per dish so not that cheap.

My spouse and I stayed at the Hilton and ended up trying Dish N Dash twice during our trip. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations both times. One day I had the lamb curry with rice, and I am still thinking about that rich, creamy sauce. The next time I tried the vegetarian plate, and every side dish was just as good. The vegetables, hummus, and rice were all fresh and full of flavor. I did not expect to enjoy it this much, but now I will definitely stop at Dish N Dash anytime I come across one.

The chicken here is always pretty well made, i always default to the shawarma here. While its not the most authentic shawarma out there, its good and conveniently located in an accessible area without it being too unsafe. The only thing i didn’t like this visit was the up charge for a can of soda which was 3.75$ instead of 2$ as advertised.

This Mediterranean place has plenty of seating and has a nice ambiance. It’s a casual nice setting. The restaurant is located in a small outdoor strip mall that has several other types of food options. At Dish Dash, you order at the counter and they give you an electronic number that tells them where you’re sitting. They bring the food out to you. I got the chicken Greek salad. It was good. I didn’t like the pita chips because it had some sort of herb spice on them that I wasn’t a fan of. I think if they left that off, I would’ve liked it better. For a side, I chose the lentil soup and it was really good. I would recommend this salad. Also, I got the mint lemonade and it was really good. My friends got: Salad with falafel and hummus. Lamb wrap. Both of them loved their dish. I like that the restaurant puts to-go-boxes and extra sauces/dressing on the counter! This is so convenient and efficient. There was plenty of parking in the parking lot. We came on a Thursday at 6p. There wasn’t a wait and plenty of seating; however, soon after there wasn’t a line to order. I would come back here again.
