Beautiful restaurant. Had such a lovely time dining in and enjoying the music and atmosphere. I love how family friendly the restaurant is. The meat is very moist and I love how healthy and delicious this plate is. Been craving this for months since I first had it. Will be back for sure. Shoutout to the lovely ladies at the restaurant for their kindness and for the beautiful Bakklava, hidden gem of a restaurant for sure.

After 50 years away from Iran, Taste of Persia brought me right back. I stopped in almost by chance after an appointment and wow! I ordered Soltani with Zereshkpolo instead of regular rice . The barg taste par’d with the best places but also again a reminder of Iran in how it’s cut. The koobideh took me straight to my childhood Fridays with family. Truly the best koobideh I’ve had from San Jose to San Francisco. The zereshk polo was beautifully cooked, fluffy long-grain rice, gorgeous color, everything tasted just right. The tahdig here is unique: a thin slice of lavash with a delicate layer of rice underneath, incredibly crisp and flavorful, and very generous. I happily took half home. The service was warm and respectful; Ms. Sadaf made me feel the kind of genuine hospitality I grew up with. And honestly, the name fits. It really is a taste of Persia. In the middle of San Jose, it felt like stepping into a little spot of the Tehran bazaar. If you’re craving classic Persian flavors done right, don’t hesitate.

We had an amazing experience here. The food was cooked perfectly and everything tasted delicious. The portions were very generous, and the food was beautifully presented. The restaurant also has a great design and atmosphere. The manager was exceptionally polite, welcoming, and friendly. We tried the Soltani and the chicken thigh, and both were excellent. Highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be back!

This is one of the very best Persian food restaurants in the Bay area. Yes, It is a small venue and no, you don't make reservations so call ahead or monitor their activity on Google for the best times to pop in. My wife is from Persia and we love this place. The people are great and very pleasant, and the food is very authentic. I love Beef Koobideh and this is truly delicious here, and the chicken kabob is also out of this world good. The sliced onion marinated with somagh is such a great compliment to this meal. The lavash and rice are also very authentic and yummy. Can't wait to come back!

A Taste of Persia in South San Jose might serve some of the best kabobs I’ve had in the area. The beef and chicken were well-seasoned and moist, and the rice was cooked perfectly. They top the plate with onions and cilantro, and the onions aren’t overpowering at all, possibly white onions, which makes a difference. Everything felt balanced and flavorful without being heavy. The baklava didn’t quite measure up to others I’ve had, but it wasn’t bad. Service was good overall, though one staff member didn’t speak English and had to grab someone else to help, which was totally fine. Parking can be hit or miss depending on the time of day. Overall, though, I’d definitely go back for the kabobs alone.
