We had a really nice time at El Dorado Nature Center! We did the 2-mile trail and it was an easy, relaxing walk with plenty of shade along the way. We saw turtles and fish, which made the trail even more enjoyable. There are also plenty of seating areas if you want to stop and rest or just enjoy the scenery. One thing to know before going is that food and drinks aren’t allowed, but you can bring water. Overall, it’s a peaceful spot and a great place for an easy nature walk.

I just got my annual parking pass $43 with my veteran discount, which was a nice bonus. I've been looking for a hiking spot closer to home. I used to hike out somewhere but it was always a longer drive for me to get there. So glad I found this place, it's right in the middle of the city, which I wasn't expecting. There's a great 2 mile hiking loop, but if you just want something shorter, there are plenty of options too. The lakes, trees, and views here are beautiful, and this park has become exactly what I needed to de-stress. Perfect spot for me. They also have a nature center on-site, which really adds something special to the visit and you can find souvenirs and some historical info there too. The park opens at 8am, but if you want to buy your annual parking permit, that office doesn't open until 8:30am.

Great place to go to get out of city for awhile and get some freshair from the trees. Cost for Weekday: $6, Friday: $7, Weekend: $8, Holiday: $9. Has multi hiking trails to go on. Theres 1/4, 1, 2 mile hiking trails with two small lakes and streams going to eat other in the park. Just took pictures of the mostly flowers other plants today. They have quite a bit different types. Some smell, like the Matilija poppy or other name Fired egg flower, Yellow flag iris, Douglas Iris, and Japanese honeysuckle. Name most of the flowers and other plants for google lens. If the names wrong please comment. So I can correct it. Theres also turtles, squirrels, ducks, and other birds what I saw. People where nice also and it was very clean on the trails. Mostly all flat and theres some small inclines.

There are multiple trail options, so you can keep it short and leisurely or wander a bit longer depending on your mood. One of my favorite things about this place is how many stopping points there are along the way. Benches are thoughtfully placed throughout the trails, giving you plenty of chances to pause, take in the views, listen to the birds, and just soak in the calm atmosphere. It’s a quiet, refreshing escape from the city and a perfect spot for a relaxed walk, a mindful moment in nature, or a peaceful afternoon outdoors. Highly recommend! 🌿🦆🌳

A real gem in the middle of urban sprawl. This park has over two miles of easy trails to walk wooded and riparian scenery. Hard to believe this area used to be flat farmland. There are two man-made lakes connected by a curving stream with an abundance of birds and wildlife. The many trees offer welcome shade to hikers year around. I highly recommend...
