walked past the federal building, cold and quiet, kind of dark and unwelcoming. well protected, security visible, doesn’t feel unsafe just not inviting. stands out among the other dtla towers with a serious vibe.

Security is incredibly rude and impatient. Beware, you can’t even bring a vape into the building, so come carrying just the things you really need, such as your documents and car keys, leave everything else behind in your car. They don’t have trash cans available within the property, so if you have any items on you that aren’t allowed into the building you have to walk all the way off property, find a trash can and then come back. Beware: you are not allowed to place items that you were asked to leave behind on the floor outside the doors or even the sidewalk in front of the building or you will be cited. Other than that it all is pretty straightforward.

There are hundreds of people waiting outside the USCIS building. During the hours of driving because of the traffic, I finally arrived at the Uscis Los Angeles. Two officers by the entrance told me I could use the restroom when I got into the building. Or go to another building near by USCIS. WHAT! Hundreds of people are waiting! Please put some portable restrooms outside if USCIS can't let us use the restroom inside the building when we wait. Because we the people, please respect everyone's rights. Thank you!
