Overall, it was good, but not great. Cocktails were fine. Nothing special and they need a little bit more work. Wine was good! Food was solid but needs to be dialed in. I hope they can get better. The music was interesting. I rate it a 7 out of 10

The food is INSANE!! SO SO SO SO GOOD!! If you have the chance to go to Filo, GOOO!! We had the hamachi crudo - SOOO GOOOD!!! Also the service is amazing!!!

Everything was beautiful. The quality of the produce really shined through and the use of fruit zest and good olive oil made every dish so vibrant. I loved that nothing felt overseasoned or heavy (which has been my experience at other mediterranean restaurants). It was all so so fresh. You can tell they poured a lot of love into their menu. The cocktails, warm lighting and vibes were amazing too. Super cute staff! I can’t wait to go back to try more of their drinks! Perfect date or girls night out spot.💗

It’s tough to review the opening night of a restaurant, and usually I won’t—because I plan to return. But with Filo, I won’t return, so here goes. The first problem begins with the concept—or lack thereof. Filo is a mash-up of hackneyed flavors, masking as “Mediterranean cuisine.” In other words, it’s not sure what it is, what it wants to be, or even its flavor profile. Without a vision, imagination becomes the biggest missing ingredient. The problem starts with its name, Filo. (Fillipino? Nope! “First in/last out?” Nope! Thin pastry? Nope! As you enter, the lack of identity is evident from the pedestrian design, the bizarre choice of loud music (kind of Euro-tehno-electro pop), the extremely uncomfortable seating (obviously designed by men for me), a focus-less menu (that is also hard on the eyes), and a general lack of warmth and chemistry. It feels like the soul of a newish machine that’s trying to be something it's not. The service was professional, although officious, and overly enthusiastic. It was clear after we sent back the first recommended cocktail that everything wasn’t “spectacular,” but the word came up over 10 times in less than our one-hour visit, even after we
