For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. American restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and sales tax is added at the register.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 7 am–3 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Flor and Seed Coffee Roasters at (619) 917-9079; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is florandseed.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 288 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded cafes & coffee shops in San Diego.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Diego follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I was looking for a cafΓ© in the area and came across this spot right in the heart of Old Town. They’re known for their Mexican coffee, with lots of variations of their Mexican mocha, though I ended up getting a regular latte and it was great. I also appreciated that they offer β€œfor here” cups. It’s a nice place to study or work, especially during the weekdays. I’m not sure how busy it gets on weekends, but overall, it’s definitely a spot I’d highly recommend.

First time trying Mexico coffee. Ordered a single shot espresso and a Mocha. The espresso is too sour for me, but worth a try. The taste is very different. The Mocha is smooth and balanced.

First time here and have traveled all over Mexico drinking some amazing coffee I was very curious to try this place out. I ordered the Aztec Mocha and it was very good 😊, I’ll have to come back and try some of the other coffees but it was good. Also the staff was very nice and friendly giving us some recommendations. A try if you are ever in old town.
