It was first solo trip, customer service was 100% good. Location nearby the event im attending. It was one day trip. My room was nice, just there were creepy sound outside from cross street that I check window there was nothing there. I was like oh ok there nothing I do anything. My last night sleep it was easy. Still best place when you need use metro go to school campus and little tokyo. Also lyft ride close to lax airport thus you wont hit bank.

Positive: price, mostly clean Neutral: location. Seemed somewhat sketchy at first but nothing bad happened. Negative: very poor sound insulation. The guests above me, who seemed to function as housekeepers, liked to talk loudly, stomp around, drag chairs and cook dinners in the shared space around midnight. I heard it all and could not sleep. Them flushing the toilet sounded like standing inside a waterfall. And lastly poor management. Sent me the wrong code to the main door. I asked for a proof of payment after the stay and management didn't bother to reply. Would not stay there again.

Everyone, DO NOT book here. This is only my second one star rating so it's not something I do lightly. I saw the other bad reviews and thought maybe there was a fluke, the same thing couldn't happen to me. I was wrong. I booked months ago. The day of my reservation I even messaged to confirm my booking and got the affirmative. I had my family of four so I chose the suite with a jack and Jill bathroom. Then I got to my rooms and the code didn't work. I called and apparently they gave away one of my rooms? And their solution was to give me one of the original rooms, which would mean the stranger on the other side would have access to my room through the bathroom, and another room in a different building, also with a shared bathroom. And no mention of any kind of refund on the more expensive suite I had paid for. Obviously that was unacceptable, so I asked that the reservation be cancelled. I even got pushback on that, saying it needed to be approved by a manager. From other reviews, it sounds like I'm not the first person this happened to. Do yourself a favor and book at the usc hotel down the street. It's more expensive, but you will not have to deal with the likely possibility of b

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent stay – highly recommend I stayed in the Deluxe Suite at Forty First Place – Boutique Hostel and had a great experience. The suite was clean, comfortable, and much nicer than I expected. The bed was super comfortable, the room was spacious, and everything was well maintained. The property itself has a chill, boutique vibe and felt safe and quiet during my stay. Staff were friendly, helpful, and made check-in smooth. I also appreciated how close it is to major spots in LA — very convenient for getting around. For the price, this place is a steal. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable stay with good vibes, especially the Deluxe Suite, this is definitely the spot. I would stay here again without hesitation
