I have been with Kendra and Freedom Within for nearly a decade, and been extremely happy with the level of care; until recently. Kendra had me meet with Alex Mers, LPCC for EMDR therapy for trauma, and she is absolutely stellar. Alex has managed to be beside me and guide me thru one of the most traumatic (and dangerous) years of my life. Her patience, wisdom and compassion is unmatched. I will be forever be in appreciation of the two women who saved me - especially from myself.

I cannot stress enough what an amazing therapist Rachel Wein is. The first thing that is clear about Rachel is that she has a deep and extensive understanding of various therapeutic approaches that she tailors to meet one's unique needs. But I think what truly sets her apart from the many knowledgeable therapists that are out there, is her genuine passion for what she does, and her exceptional ability to connect with clients. She truly creates an environment where one feels safe to express any thoughts and emotions without judgment. Her relatable nature makes it easy to open up about even the most difficult topics, and her empathy allows one to feel truly understood. She is excellent at helping one set clear, actionable goals, and she consistently provides the support and guidance needed for one to stay on track. Her ability to break down larger challenges into manageable steps is incredibly valuable! In short, you are in good hands with Rachel as your therapist. If you’re looking for a therapist who combines vast knowledge with genuine care, an exceptional ability to connect, and a commitment to helping you reach your goals, I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Alexis Abbott at Freedom Within has been an absolute dream to work with. Her passion and commitment to working with clients and helping them achieve their goals is second to none. It’s refreshing to see the way she meets her clients where they’re at and really personalize treatment to their goals. I'm delighted to recommend Emmarose Turett as a highly informed and empathetic therapist with extensive training in trauma-informed care. Stephanie is an INCREDIBLE therapist, I feel so lucky to have her wisdom and support on my healing journey. Stephanie is deeply knowledgeable about PTSD and the effects of trauma and really understands how to work with people who have them. She is so compassionate, kind, and caring that it is easier for me to feel comfortable and safe with her than with other therapists. If I could give her six stars, I would!

I highly recommend Alex Mers without hesitation. I had the privilege of working with Alex for about 10 years. She is one of the most dedicated, compassionate, and caring therapists in the field. Alex, is person-centered in her approach and always shows kindness and respect to everyone she works with. Alex is an expert in grief and trauma- informed approaches to therapy.
