Diego Garcia of Gateway Acupuncture and Wellness is excellent. I have been to more than a few acupuncturists over the last decade and Diego stands out. I could feel and see results while still on the table, immediately afterwards , or in the week or two after treatment. On the table more than once the needles became so hot and electrified in feeling I actually thought Diego had attached current to them! Another time, in treating a GI symptom, my previously quiet GI system became so noisy with growling that I was almost embarrassed. When treating an upper respiratory event, my lymph nodes under my jaw actually shrank! I kept feeling my neck afterwards because I didn't even know that those nodes could be smaller, and I am a physician. I give Diego Garcia my highest recommendation. Oh, did I mention that the first 10-15 minutes or so of the session he actually sits with you with a cup of warm water and LISTENS to what is going on with you and your body? Quite remarkable in this day and age!

I am incredibly grateful for Diego at Gateway Acupuncture & Wellness. As the owner and sole practitioner, he brings a level of attentiveness and professionalism that immediately builds trust in the practice of acupuncture. I came in dealing with persistent residual pain following a severe case of pericarditis that had also involved partially collapsed lungs and concerning kidney complications. Even after significant medical treatment, medication and some significant downtime, there was still lingering and persistent paint and discomfort that was making it exceedingly difficult for me to sleep and manage very basic daily activities. After an initial consultation and two acupuncture session with Diego, I experienced immediate relief in a way that genuinely surprised me. There was a noticeable easing of the persistent pain and tension during the first session, and for the first time in a while, my body felt like it could fully inhale and exhale; literally. Diego is an amazing healer with great attention to detail. I came in for shoulder/back issues and received help for several other symptoms. He has a very nice relaxing space. Treats one patient at a time which allowed for complete focus on my treatments. I learned a lot and felt great after treatments. I recommend him to friends and family.
