San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Francisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I visited Golden Gate Park during a short trip to San Francisco, and it ended up being one of the most relaxing parts of my stay. The park is huge, so thereβs a lot of space to just walk around without feeling crowded. I liked how it had a mix of gardens, lakes, open fields, and small trails surrounded by trees. What stood out to me most was the peaceful atmosphere. Even though the city can feel busy, the park felt calm and slower paced. I spent a few hours there just walking, sitting on benches, and watching people bike, jog, or have picnics. Some areas were more lively with street performers and families, while other parts were quiet enough to enjoy nature. The weather was cool and a little foggy when I went, which actually made the experience feel more relaxing. Overall, I think Golden Gate Park is a nice place to take a break from the busy city and enjoy some fresh air. Itβs not something Iβd describe as flashy, but itβs definitely worth visiting if you like simple outdoor spaces and peaceful walks.
