San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Eh not a fan. Spent $130 on a pound of brisket that was yummy and fatty, a pound of ribs that were dry and maybe i just got a piece that had too much seasoning, mac n cheese was good and cheesy, potato salad that tasted sour the next day, pulled pork sandwhich and drinks. I wasnt a fan of the food nor was I wowed. My sister enjoyed it and would go back. I honestly wouldn't. And I really wanted to stuff my face but wish id gone to a steakhouse instead. Outside seating so expect flies. Nice people working there though and can be attentive too

Good stuff! Oddly I enjoyed the ribs more than brisket which is the opposite of my norm. Great fried pickles and the coleslaw was a 10. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Some of the brisket slices were dry as jerky! The moist portions were good. They are worth going there but never, never , never do take out! Only sit there and eat so you can complain, if you have to - to their face and they would correct it! Little Miss BBQ out of AZ keeps the crown! Greens are way undercooked! We have been there about 5 times! Go early!

One of my stops while I was in San Diego. My brother took me to his favorite bbq spot and it was pretty good. It was a little packed with the after church crown. We had the ribs, brisket and tri tip along with the chili beans ans spicey coleslaw. Ribs were tender along with the brisket. The beans had tri tip on it along with the spicey coleslaw paired so good with the tri tip. My only issue was that the roll was reallly dry, I did not want to soak the meat in bbq sauce because it tasted great without a lot of sauce. I will be stopping here again next time I am in San Diego.

I give this Grand Ole BBQ location ~4.5/5 stars. 5 for service, 4.5 for food, and 4 for atmosphere. I came here for the first time last week with my extended family (Thanksgiving time). There were 5 of us, and we ordered ribs, brisket, tri-tip, green beans, cole slaw, a smashburger, a wedge salad, and a brisket-cheesesteak sandwich. It was probably too much food π but everything was pretty good. My favorite items were the brisket cheesesteak sandwich, smashburger, wedge salad, and brisket. The ribs and tri-tip were good, but the rub on the ribs was kind of excessively salty. The total for this huge order was around $150, which isnβt too crazy for the amount of food, but is still a somewhat pricey dinner. The atmosphere is alright. Itβs like a big open area with tables, like a meal hall kind of. The only issue is that during g the winter months it gets pretty cold and you kind of have to partially freeze while eating. The service is pretty high-quality though. The bartender and cashier made a serious effort to welcome every guest, maintain consistent attitude and level of service, and strike a balance between speed and attention.
