Don’t bother with the lunch buffet here. The tandoori chicken was a joke—giant pieces that were burnt on the outside but still pink on the inside. The marinade didn’t reach the meat at all, so it had zero taste. The chicken biryani was just as bad, with overcooked, really hard chicken. See my attached pictures. This tiny selection is all you get plus naan and poori. Definitely not worth the price. The advertisement is deceptive. No pakoras or kheer.

You can immediately tell when a place cares about the details. The food here is absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. Naan came out incredibly fresh, pillowy soft, and hot right to the basket. Beyond the food, the staff were genuinely warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in, making the whole experience feel hospitable. The indoor seating area has a really nice, thoughtful vibe to it too, comfortable, clean, and a great atmosphere to just sit back and enjoy a great meal. Hope to visit again soon from Oregon

Everything we tried was delicious and full of flavor! We had the gol gappay, chicken samosas, papri chaat, biryani, malai chicken boti, chana dal, chicken tikka masala, naan, and tandoori roti — and honestly, every dish was so good. The food tasted fresh, authentic, and perfectly cooked. The malai chicken boti was especially tender and flavorful, and the gol gappay and chaat were the perfect start to the meal. Great service and a great dining experience overall. Definitely coming back again!

Haji’s Restaurant is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Pakistani and Indian fusion cuisine. The space itself is on the smaller side, but it’s thoughtfully arranged with a warm and inviting ambiance that makes you feel comfortable right away. The food truly stands out. I tried the chapli kabob, chicken seekh kabobs, and nihari—each dish was packed with rich, well-balanced flavors and cooked to perfection. The chapli kabob had that perfect blend of spices and juiciness, while the seekh kabobs were tender and smoky. The nihari was especially impressive, full of depth and slow-cooked goodness. And the naans? Absolutely superb—fresh, soft, and the perfect companion to every dish. I also had the chance to chat with the owner, Adnan, who is clearly passionate about what he’s building. His commitment to using his own freshly prepared masalas instead of packaged ones really shows in the quality and authenticity of the food. His ambition and attention to detail make this place even more special. Overall, Haji’s Restaurant delivers excellent food, genuine flavors, and a personal touch that’s hard to find. Definitely worth a visit.

One of the best Pakistani/Indian restaurants in the Bay Area, and exceptionally vegan-friendly. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and very accommodating with vegan requests. They were happy to customize dishes, and even made us a vegan raita on request when they realized we were ordering vegan — a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. The food was outstanding. The sabzis were deeply flavorful and clearly made with care. The vegan dal makhani was phenomenal — rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. The breads were fresh, soft, and excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the overall experience was fantastic. It’s rare to find a place that combines such strong vegan options with genuinely warm, accommodating service. Highly recommend.
